I really enjoyed this gem of a Pizza place. Been here in Cheyenne over a year and never new it existed. The Meat Lovers was my choice and Supreme was my friends. We ordered by the slice. Prices were fair and pizza was warmed up off the rack in the oven. Bottom crust was nice and cripy not burnt. Pizza was hot and best of all the cheese wasn’t so heavy I did not have a mountain of grease running off my slices. I had a desert that tasted sweet. I don’t know what that pastry was but tasted good. I will be back for more. This nice little restraunt was a breath of fresh air. Great staff nice enviornment. Look forward to trying more.

Our visit to Mondellos family-owned pizza place was truly unforgettable! The warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home from the start. The food was exceptional—we savored the scrumptious spaghetti and meatballs, and the creamy vegetable soup was heartwarming. The attentive staff ensured our every need was met, and the owner’s thoughtful gesture towards my child made her day. Supporting family-owned businesses like this one is a joy, and we can’t wait to return for another delicious meal. Highly recommended!

L’Osteria Mondello is hands down the best pizza in town!

David and his team put so much love and passion into every pizza — you can truly taste it in every bite. The crust is perfect, the toppings are always fresh, and the flavor is just unbeatable. Beyond the amazing food, David himself is one of the kindest, most generous people you’ll ever meet.

Whether it’s for a family dinner, a party, or just a quick bite, L’Osteria Mondello never disappoints. Cheyenne is lucky to have a place — and a person — like this! ❤️

It beats Olive Garden for sure. The sun room has a nice view outside. Even though the interior is more simple than what Olive Garden has, it still has that vibe where people in Cheyenne should take their dates and families to. As for the food, it truly beats Olive Garden. My favorite part of this restaurant is how on the outside, it looks ordinary at first but inside, it’s homely and romantic.

EDIT: I decided to try the marinated steak bites with rosemary and penned. The steak was slightly overcooked. To think this dish costs $40? I expected better. I’m sticking with appetizers and pizzas if I return here.

First time here
We had to wait for the host a bit and it wasn’t clear where to wait.
Once seated the host was awesome
Our server was great too

Our food was ok

My carbanara was not exactly what I was expecting, it had too much pepper on it, and my son Alfredo and sausage was ok

My hubby really liked his dish

So…I’m Sicilian and born in NY. The bar for Italian cuisine is about as high as it gets and this place is just OK. For the region I can see why they bill it as fine dining but it’s just average. We got seated in the side room and it was super cold. I had to switch seats w my GF who was against the window. The elderly patrons around the room kept complaining so they boosted the heat. Fresh bread and pesto to start. Lovely and delicious. The spring mix salad w oil n vinegar was also just ok. Balsamic was too acidic…not using the good stuff but the oil was good. I ordered the mushroom gorgonzola penne which was just what I wanted, portions are small though. She had the picatta which was just ok. White wine caper sauce was too light and scant in amount, chicken was very small scallops. She didn’t finish it but I did the next day. Took tiramisu home as well as a cannoli and I laughed when I opened the boxes. Chocolate sauce drizzled on everything. NEVER have I seen that before. Got some pizza slices to go as well and their NY style thin crust is on the money, just needed more flavor and variety of slice pies. Very busy as well but that’s good. Decent service but when I asked the young man if the artichokes in the appetizer we ordered were fresh, he said “I think so”. Wrong answer. Gotta know these things. I think they make it by having no competition and a steady income from the retirees and pizza orders. Probably won’t make it a regular thing. $130 for 2 dinners, no drinks, dessert and slices to go. Little steep.

This is the best Italian food in Cheyenne I have had. Great delicious pizza in the front, best Italian top notch fine dining restaurant in the back. Local and delicious. I wish I could eat here everyday. Ryan was our server tonight he gave us the best service, prompt, funny, and our favorite. Thanks Modello you did it again. Grazie, tutto ottimo.

I’m an out of towner. I went to a museum and they recommended I come here. I came Sunday night and got Joey’s Pizza. Was delicious. In talking to the owner, I asked about the Italian restaurant. He said try the chicken piccata. I came back Tuesday for it and I am glad I did. It was delicious. The dipping sauce for bread was delish. Service was wonderful. Tended to my drink often which I love. Owner walks around engaging the guests. I personally love that too.
I really don’t have a bad thing to say about our this place.

Cannot recommend enough! Have never had anything but greatness from Mondello’s. Went in for my birthday dinner last night, Steven was out waiter and everything was perfect. Stevens recommendations that we tried were amazing especially the oh so creamy and delicious lemon marscapone. Their fine dining is the best in Cheyenne and their pizza too!
