My Pizza was inspired by the pizzaiolos that immigrated to America from Italy and opened the first Pizzerias in NYC, many of which are still in existence today. I like to call it NeapolAmerican, but some might call it NY Style or New Haven style, but whatever you call it, it’s instantly recognizable to anyone familiar with East Coast Pizza. It has the same DNA as those pizzas made by Neapolitan immigrants as they started adapting their pizza to American tastes. From the great Slice Joints like Ray’s or Joe’s to the “Pie Only” places like John’s, Lombardi’s, Grimaldi’s, and Patsy’s, I wanted to bring a similar Pizza to add to the great pizza landscape in Chicago.
Thin-crust, brick-oven pizza & a full bar in a modern, loftlike space with exposed ductwork.

The kids had a pep/cheese and no complaints were heard. Even the picky child was happy.
The art history brewing krausen lager was slightly carbonated, light and crisp. It hit the spot after a long Saturday workday.
We ordered the large spinach salad. The walnuts and crumbled goat cheese paired well together.
The crust on the pizza was the most memorable thing for us. It’s a perfect balance between Neapolitan airiness / char and New York structure / chew. I crave it just thinking about it. The tomato sauce was bright and fresh. Plus, they use Grande’ mozzarella from WI which shows a commitment to quality.
The “large” salad was big enough to split 3 ways (but we still found a way to finish it). The dressing on the salad was nicely balanced (lemon, oil, salt, cheese). I wish it was a “tossed salad” and not “dressing on the side” but I say that at nearly every restaurant.
The second most memorable thing about it: the service. Everyone we dealt with was professional, skilled, friendly and energetic.
If we lived in the area, we would be regulars here. Highly recommend.
Ambience was casual, went on a Wednesday night. Great service. Food did not wow us- got the pesto margherita pizza and the goat cheese dip. The pizza lacked flavor. However their dough so great. Would not come back because there are so many better pizza places in Chicago!
got the garlic bread (good!), a small pepperoni and pineapple (decent), and a small spinach and goat cheese (fairly tasteless). had to ask for some balsamic on the side ($1 extra for a tony side of balsamic to add flavour to the pizza ♂️) and salt + parmesan; which i generally don’t add much to pizza.
i can see why families would come though, nice neighbourhood spot. but to me, if it’s not at least better than standard delivery pizza then it’s not quite worth it for me.
service was quite nice and welcoming!
