Very loud, and very dark. It was hard to read the menu and hear each other talk. The waitress never came to refill our table water, or other drinks, and didn’t stop by to ask how things were. After 30 minutes of finishing our food, wishing for water, the manager came over with the check.

Now for the food. Everything was good, I would not say amazing. The portion sizes were huge for the price, we all had to take food home. If it wasn’t for the service, we probably would go back to try more of the menu.

Sorry the pictures are so dark!

The service at this restaurant was fantastic! Francis was a one-man show—serving, running food, and bussing tables all by himself. He had a great attitude, was constantly checking in on us, and really made the experience feel personal.

One thing that stood out (in a not-so-great way) was that there were three bartenders at the bar who didn’t seem busy, yet none of them stepped in to help Francis. Still, he handled everything like a pro.

The food was amazing overall—super flavorful! The only minor things: the potato was a bit bland and could’ve used more cheese, and the bacon on the mac and cheese was a little salty for my taste. But everything else was delicious.

The ambiance was great too, with music and a nice vibe. Definitely recommend this spot—just hope they start giving Francis the support he deserves!

Place looks cute. Food looks good. But they gave us a dirty plate when we first walked in. (Photographed). The waitress/waiter took forever to come by.
Then I got food poisoning from the chicken on the nachos. We had a whole night planned and I couldn’t go out it was BAD.
The only good thing was the frozen expresso martini. That was surprisingly fire. But everything else was trash. Definitely never coming back.

The portion sizes were impressive! I liked the pasta, though I’ve had better. The French fries were absolutely amazing — crispy and delicious. They were also screening the finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty, which made the experience even more special.

I had a fantastic time with friends; our waitress was amazing and friendly. The atmosphere is so cute and feels like you’re in Nashville. If you’re an espresso martini fan, try the frozen espresso martini. The food is also good, and the brisket sandwich was delicious. The buffalo chicken dip was good and very mild on the spicy side.

Stopped by on a Saturday night, and the energy was fantastic! Boots and Bones has that perfect balance of an upscale dive bar—fun, lively, and full of character. The neon cowboy decor sets the vibe, and the music keeps the place buzzing.

The bar is huge, and the food does not disappoint. The wings are an absolute steal—highly recommend the garlic parmesan! The fries were solid, too. Drinks are a great deal—$15 for a big pitcher of Bud Light that easily poured five beers. While the cocktail list isn’t extensive, they make up for it by pouring them strong.

Overall, this spot is a Jersey City staple—great atmosphere, good food, strong drinks, and just steps from the PATH at Grove. Definitely worth a visit!

Really want to give this restaurant 5 stars. The service was amazing and I ran into the owner who also was a cool dude. The atmosphere was great and even though they had one server, we were still taking care of on time. I order the smoked wings, they had a good flavor but some were very dry. Not sure if it was reheated or overcooked. The mac and cheese was not to my liking but sure did look tasty. I also ordered a sausage which was just ok. I would try this restaurant again- it’s a cool spot.

Everything was good except the food. The atmosphere is good, although it was hot inside. The person who assisted us was very friendly and helpful, but the kitchen was not helping… I ordered a sangria and it was acceptable, but the food was not at all, it was well seasoned and the quality was not what I expected. We ordered a Mc and Cheese for our little girl and it was spicy, we ordered some ribs and they were dry, hard and cold.

Our friends found the burgers acceptable as well as the green salad. It was definitely not the atmosphere I expected or looked for.

Visited Boots and Bones and had an amazing experience! The burgers and fries were top-notch, and their mimosa and Bloody Mary were perfectly crafted. The Halloween decorations added a fun and festive touch to the atmosphere. I also appreciated the rustic charm of the wooden furniture. Overall, Boots and Bones is a great spot for a delicious meal and a fun night out. Highly recommend!

I came here for brunch and I had a great time. Boots and Bones offers Nashville style, barbecue food, and other great American Classics. I highly recommend the lemon pepper wings. The waffle sandwich, which came with chicken, eggs and sausage was a favorite as well. The pancake was also nice and fluffy. The stuffed French toast was so delicious. I love the creamy texture of the ricotta inside. For the cocktails, I enjoyed the mimosa margarita. We also try some of the holiday cocktails as well. I also had the burnt ends, which is not pictured here and that I highly recommend. Also, boots and bones have a speakeasy downstairs and have Apple TVs for you to watch our latest games and shows. It’s conveniently right across the street of the Path Grove street train station.
