Went for lunch with friends a week before Xmas. They were busy but it should not have taken 90 minutes to order and get our lunch. At one point our server told us our food was the next order up but we still saw 3 other tables get their orders before ours. Meals here have always been good in the past but not this visit. Food was barely warm and the veal one person ordered was tough.

Why isn’t this place absolutely slammed? We live 1.5 hours away. We were here on vacation, but my kids all want to just drive back here for their birthdays.

Their homemade gluten free pasta is mid-blowing good.

I had their special: a sweet potato and andouille sausage pasta that just about changed my life forever. Amazing. My wife had their lunch strip steak. Perfectly cooked.

We absolutely loved our experience. Our waiter, Daniel, did a great job.

Amazing every time I go! Prices are the same as everywhere else but the service and food is so Much better here! Food has always been prepared the way I ask and for the others that have went with me.

Had a great dinner with great service. Love the place. Unfortunately they will be closing this spring (from what we hear). Go support this restaurant while you can!

I love going there to meet up with friends to experience great food and hospitality.
I’m so disheartened that this fine restaurant will be closing. A severe loss for LaPorte.

Just moved to area and decided to try Portofino’s. My husband asked about angel hair with the veal, the waitress said he could change the fettuccine out for angel hair. When we ordered, my husband stated he wanted angel hair with the veal. The meal came out with fettuccine. Waited 15 mins for boxes for our meal, I finally asked the hostess for boxes and another waitress delivered them. I commented about the veal having fettuccine instead of the requested angel hair. The waitress said the cooks would over/under cook the angel hair so they have not had angel hair in a year and our waitress was very aware of that. WHY would our waitress NOT be honest with us? I would expect this at a low end restaurant, not a country club establishment. And after a year, angel hair is still listed on their menu? Will not be returning. The food was OK, but I expected better. You never have a second chance to make a first impression.

Excellent food and service. French onion soup was amazing. Wagyu and Lobster surf and turf special was out of this world. Everything cooked perfectly. Menu is pricey, but definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

I took my teenage grandsons for their first true fine dining experience and Portofino did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal. The service was out of this world. The boys were absolutely amazed at how much attention and service our amazing waitress Taylor provided. They now see the difference between going out to eat and having a fine dining experience.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our physician. We tried it. Absolutely zero ambience. Not a large number of menu choices. He had the chicken marsala and it was dry without flavor. I attempted to eat the coleslaw and it tasted like something out of a local grocer deli. We were not impressed at all and had to continue to ask the server to refill our beverages. We will not be returning.

First time eating here for dinner. We sat outside and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere with the view of the golf course. The waitress and staff were very friendly and attentive. The steak was delicious!
