We made a reservation prior to going. They did have table availability, but I still suggest the reservation. We ordered a couple of drinks, an entree and side, and dessert. The filet was the best filet I’ve ordered, very tender, and cooked perfectly. The Whirlaway and the John Henry each had a great flavor. The buttered pie was so decadent. We got bread pudding with peaches on top that was also a hit. The ambiance was beautiful and perfect for a date night. We had an excellent server, Logan, that was attentive and helped give recommendations. Best date night experience ever.

Pro tip: Booking online is a nightmare. Difficult finding where to reserve—I still don’t know how I pulled it off. Please, Eclipse, fix your reservation system.

My partner and I came for brunch on Sunday and we were absolutely taken aback by the quality of this place. Our bartenders, Simone and Michelle were an absolute vibe, and SO knowledgeable about the menu and what to pair with each item. All of Simone’s recommendations and pairings were so detailed and 100% spot on. Michelle kept us talking and laughing the whole time we absolutely loved both of them! we had the Crab Cake Benedict paired with an Aperol Spritz and the Beef and Grits paired with a bloody Maria – incredible. Will be back for dinner soon!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this steakhouse in Hattiesburg. From the moment we walked in, everything felt polished, welcoming, and thoughtfully done.
The quality of the meat was outstanding. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and had incredible flavor. Tender, juicy, and clearly high-quality cuts. You can really tell that the kitchen takes pride in sourcing and preparing their beef the right way. It was easily one of the best steaks we’ve had in a long time.
We decided to enjoy the full experience with three courses, and every single one impressed us. The appetizers set the tone with bold flavors and beautiful presentation, the steaks were the undeniable star of the night, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. The perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal.
The bar program deserves a special shoutout as well. The cocktails were balanced, creative, and expertly made. It’s clear the bar team knows exactly what they’re doing, and it elevated the entire dining experience.
What really made the evening special, though, was the service. Logan and Dylan were incredibly sweet, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations, answered every question with confidence, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout the night. Their professionalism and warmth truly stood out.
Between the phenomenal food, impressive drinks, wonderful desserts, and top-tier service, this place delivered a memorable dining experience. We’ll absolutely be back the next time we’re in Hattiesburg. Six seven .

Pretty upset with my experience here. The food was simply not worth the price. My filet was a tough, gristly cut, and worse it was horribly miscooked. I ordered it medium and it was served very rare, to the point of being inedible. I sent it back after taking a bite and they put the same steak back on the grill and cooked it until it had no flavor. The portion sizes for sides and appetizers were very small. The calamari was chewy and not flavorful. The service was great, everyone was very nice, but for $100+ per person, the quality of the food was awful. I was also overbilled, and had to go back the next day to have my credit card refunded for the difference. I have had much better experiences at Outback, and unfortunately don’t think I will be returning. I was very excited when I first heard Hattiesburg was finally getting a nice steakhouse, but was genuinely disappointed with the result.

We had a great evening celebrating my mother’s birthday who is visiting from out of town. I’ve been following Eclipse’s instagram since July, so I’m ecstatic that we finally made it out. Everyone (from the hostess who got us seated a bit earlier than our reszo to the ladies who never let our water glass get too low) offered a great invitation. The space is BEAUTIFUL and I look forward to trying out the bar/lounge.
Roses of the evening:
– Paige was great & appeared happy to help us
– The Bearnidini was the best cocktail with the Stockpony coming in close second
– Veal Osso Bucco is a MUST!
– Chocolate Mousse with a glass of Chianti
Thorns (if you can even call them that) of the evening:
– Timing in between drinks, apps, and dinner could be a bit long, but they’re new and I’m sure they’ll find their flow!
– I wish the prime rib came with the classic horseradish
– the greens with the gulf fish were a bit under and bitter, but the creamed corn was stunning
– I think the asparagus portion (esp. compared to the brussels) for $10 was a little disappointing

Eclipse Steakhouse Hattiesburg was very nice! The crab cake was season to perfection, personally, I needed more sear on both sides and more crab texture in the stuffing to crab ratio. The red fish on top of that cream style corn with the collards though, babyeeee that was absolutely scrumptious. It paired so great together, I needed more sides to finish the fish! Lol
We sat at the bar because the wait time without reservations was about 45 minutes.

One critique, they really need sound absorption in the main dining. During peak hours, it’s nearly too loud to hear the people at your table.

Came here to celebrate Christmas and my engagement with my fiancée and couldn’t have had a better experience. The staff was unbelievably attentive and kind. The restaurant was full of guests but the speed and intentionality of the service made us feel important and cared for the entire time.
The food was rich and flavorful, and they have a diverse and exciting cocktail menu. Thank you Eclipse for making our night extra special! We will happily be returning.
