We came in late Sunday afternoon, the place was busy and the atmosphere was really fun. We waited a few minutes to be seated, got a nice spot outside, and as a disabled person have to commend the fact their patio furniture is actually soft faux-wicker and not horrible metal.
Our server Avi Penny was SO wonderful. She was attentive, kind, and checked in often. She made some great reccomendations, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. She was the perfect balance of warm, friendly, extremely fast and professional, and also gave us enough space to have a nice chat over our food. She made it feel like we were really welcomed guests. We ordered an app and two meals. The app was really hot, but delicious and just about the time we were done the meals came. The timing was perfect. It didn’t feel like we waited for anything.
The burger was super dry and somewhat uncomfortable to eat. I only ate about 1/3. The fries were generously proportioned. The fish and chips came with slaw and everything was hot, fresh, and amazing. The buttered pretzel was fun and for what it was – pretty yummy.
We will definitely come back.
The only con: We were shocked at how loud it was during the day. But it is a sports bar so it makes sense. We were seated outside and still felt like we were having to scream over the music and TVs. It’s a fun atmosphere but if you want a quiet meal, or have sensory issues around noise – this probably isn’t the place.

We have eaten at Carolina Ale House in Garner, NC numerous times, and we have never been disappointed. The manager, Kari Barnes, knows how to find great employees! Most recently we dined there on Veteran’s Day, and the day after, and again right before Christmas. We received excellent service from our waiter, “Stavros,” on Veterans’s Day, and exceptional service from “KB” (Katelyn) the next day. We dined there again on 12/8, and KB took excellent care of us again. She is a hard worker, literally running at times, and is very attentive and friendly! She reminds us so much of Kari Barnes, who is also a very dedicated and hard worker! KB even told us that Kari is the reason she loves working there! I would like to thank Kari and Carolina Ale House for the truly genuine and heartfelt way that they showed appreciation and honor to Veterans on Veteran’s Day. By giving a completely free delicious meal of 1/2 rack baby back ribs to veterans is a true act of honor and appreciation, and speaks volumes over what many others do. It has zero contingencies, and it is not a small gesture. We are not aware of another restaurant who actually provides a full meal to vets. This is also why we chose to return the day after Veteran’s Day to patronize you rather than going next door at Longhorn where we also enjoy dining. Additionally, on Veteran’s Day, they had a beautiful memorial table set up near the entrance to honor and remember veterans! We don’t live in The Triangle area, but we are there often for appts, and Carolina Ale House in Garner is our 1st or 2nd choice for dining when we are there. The food is always delicious, and the service is exceptional!

Adriana was an amazing server! The food was awesome and the atmosphere is very cool. If you are a sports fanatic, the tvs are everywhere. Beer on tap ice cold! Don’t miss it!

Rachel was awesome. She took time to speak with us from start to finish and not just when handing us the check. The food came quickly and was delicious. I had the quesadilla and my husband had the grouper fingers. Very good. Highly recommend Carolina Ale House.

This place is usually always packed, but if you want a quiet night, anytime during the week is perfect. Between the peaceful patio (no one was out there, for once lol), our food, & our server we had a wonderful experience! Rachel is such a great server. She was very consistent, genuine & answered the questions we had! Such a sweet girl! We will definitely be back!

Stavors is AMAZING. He deserves the tallest beer, a raise, some Gluck Gluck 3000, and the ushyist gusyist pumpum, his service is amazing, he’s kind, and attentive. I hope he is laying it down. The food is amazing. We go to different restaurants trying new things but always end up back at the Ale house, the kitchen staff is doing their biggest one every time, someone call Gordon bc they’ll have a job lined up. The kitchen staff deserves the sloppiest, toe curling, begging to stop, licked up and down, wettest, spittist, nastiest, head of their life. We will continue to return and see our boy Stavors. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
