Reviews
The meat was tender and delicious, and the sushi was also high quality.
There was a wide variety of food, and all the staff were very kind.
They cleared empty plates right away.
We ate with our kids, and they ate really well and loved it.
We would definitely come back again.
We came because the rating was 4.9 stars with almost 10,000 reviews, and honestly our expectations were sky high. Reality check: we left pretty disappointed. If you treat this as a budget friendly all you can eat BBQ and ignore the revolving sushi, you can make it work. If you come expecting great sushi plus great meat, it’s a no.
Best strategy (how to “win” here)
To get your money’s worth, focus on the better meat cuts and seafood and keep the sushi bar expectations very low. That’s basically how we salvaged the experience.
Meat quality
Some of the beef options were genuinely good, especially a couple of the softer, more tender cuts (they looked like something in the sirloin or filet mignon direction). That said, we didn’t see true wagyu or premium high end cuts. It was decent, not wow.
Sushi bar quality
The revolving sushi bar was low quality overall. I wouldn’t recommend it as a reason to come here. The more worthwhile parts of the “sushi side” were actually the vegetables and pickles that paired well with the BBQ.
Seafood standouts
Seafood was more memorable than the sushi. Shrimp was the standout, and sea bass was also solid. If you’re going to spend stomach space, seafood is a better bet than most of the sushi plates.
Price and value
At around $40 per person, it’s not the worst deal, especially if you’re really hungry and can be selective. In this economy, it can be “fine” value if you target the best items and skip the rest.
Service and seating tips
Service was pretty good and things moved fast enough. If you want to maximize whatever benefit the revolving bar gives you, sit near where the dishes come out. Even then, we didn’t find many plates that felt worth grabbing.
Who I would recommend it for
Come here if:
• You want all you can eat BBQ on a budget
• You can be picky and target the better meats and seafood
• Sushi is a side quest, not the main mission
Skip it if:
• You’re coming primarily for sushi
• You’re expecting premium cuts or a “4.9 star” experience
Would we return?
Probably not. The gap between the rating hype and the actual quality was just too big. We had an ok time by optimizing what we ordered, but it wasn’t enough to make us want to come back.
There’s like tablet in each table was so convenience to order and call. The owner and the stairs come by in the time when we need and they make sure we have everything and they make sure we get everything we can get here.
The recommendations are yoodae jalbi and jumbo galbi.
Parking is free
Price : $20-30
The meats were fresh and well-marinated, and the revolving sushi was fun and delicious.
The staff were super kind and attentive — they kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed.
The overall vibe was clean, modern, and enjoyable.
Definitely one of the best all-you-can-eat BBQ & sushi spots in Atlanta. Highly recommend!
The restaurant has a clean and cozy atmosphere, making it a great place for both casual meals and special occasions. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and everything came out at just the right temperature.
If you’re looking for a place that combines amazing food with outstanding hospitality, Ekyu is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
