Reviews
We had grilled sea bass and plaice with salad and new potatoes. The new potatoes are just plain boiled potatoes and there isn’t even pepper on the table to season them (not recommended – go for the chips). The fish were both good and the salad okay.
We shared the chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was tasty. It’s a large portion and we were happy to share it- it would have been too much for just one of us.
If you want water and you want to be environment (and save money) you can ask for tap water.
Now the important part, the food was fantastic. I had the prawn and salmon salad. You got a very good portion of everything, well worth the money.
If you fancy a sweet, i recommend the Lemon meringue cheesecake and lemon ice cream, absolute gorgeous.
This was our first time in Lincoln, and we shall be visiting Elite on the Bail again well worth a visit
My Seabass was cooked to perfection.
The salad choice was very good quality fresh cherry tomatoes, radish, peppers red onion & mixed salad leaves (no limp iceberg here).
The staff were smart, friendly & attentive. Would definitely go again.
The food was fantastic. The cod and skate came out perfectly, crispy batter and not oily. The chips again slightly crispy but still fluffy.
Will be going there again for takeaway and dining in whenever I’m in the area.
Highly recommend.
Inside looked lovely and clean. The staff we’re very polite and hospitable.
We ordered fish, chips and curry sauce off the lunch time menu for £10.90 which came with a drink.
Have to say the food was lovely, and would definitely recommend. We would definitely visit again
eventually after a visit to the counter our order of 2 regular haddock and chips was taken. almost immediately afterwards, a blonde waitress ( attitude in full flow ) came to ask if we’d have cod instead as “we only have 1 large haddock” – we hate cod so opted to share the large haddock between us.
on arrival , the chips were dry and the “large ” haddock wasnt as big as expected and was covered in soggy batter. turns out that she was telling everyone ” we only have a large haddock left” implying only one piece of haddock in the building … we spoke to the manager to voice our annoyance that we were left waiting to order as others attending after us were served , and that we were misled into sharing a meal because of the waitress’s poor use of language and overall attitude ( we overheard her say to others who asked for changes to meals that things were as they were listed on the menu !) . although we only had to pay for 2 soft drinks, we would not recommend here at all . nothing can compensate for the sympathetic looks of diners assuming we could only afford 1 meal.
They cooked to order so there was a little wait.
The food was ok but I think that I need to try again and get the fish as the other reviews seem to be glowing.
