The place hasn’t changed that much since I went many many years back. The Asian food taste and quality here is still very good. Nice to see that they’ve maintained the standards.
Highlights from our recent visit:
– Sushi always good and still is. Presentation on our Shashimi was 10/10, see the pics yourself.
– The Brunch seemed real value for Money considering the Sushi platter on offer.
– Miso soup / Drinks were good.
– Maki rolls with duck was nice, duck a bit dry.
– Beef bulgogi good but got it cold and chewey very quickly, wish it had some sides.
– Penang curry was good but it’s more on the fusion food side, wish it was a little more authentic. Japanese sticky rice was done well.
– overall ambience is nice but the DJ was playing some club tunes which felt out of place for us.
– Bathrooms can be better, more bright lights would be nice.
To sum up, good place to visit, even re-visit, a bit expensive compared to other Japanese options in Bangalore but keep in mind its UB city. You won’t be disappointed with a meal here.
Overall: 4/5.

Fantastic interiors along with fine dining experience. Dhananjay took care of us with his excellent service.

Food was good just that sashimi tuna was not that fresh. We tried many other soup, sushi, sashimi, dim-sum and fish stir fry. LIIT was also good.

They have indoor and outdoor seating. Next time would like to try their tepanyakki grill table.

Overall a great experience for exceptional ambience, friendly service and good food!

Ambience is great… good food, not hot enough though! Liked the corn fritters, and veg platter; AC blows on from all sides, so seating outside might help

Location is good and the food was also great. I ordered spinach sushi and noodles, simple and nice.
What I did not like are the drinks , I don’t know exactly what it was but it did not taste great. The only reason I am reducing one star.
The price point is on the higher side but I think food wise it was worth it.

Shiro offers a truly top-tier fine dining experience in Bangalore, and we had a great time.
Initially, we were drawn to the restaurant’s reputation for its Japanese and Pan-Asian flavors, which certainly delivers—especially for non-vegetarians, with what appears to be a wonderful variety of different sushi options and a great selection of sauces to enjoy.
However, as vegetarians, we were very pleased to find that the menu offers thoughtfully curated and delicious options for us as well. The kitchen clearly ensures the vegetarian dishes are just as flavorful and creative.
We had Spicy Tofu & Avocado Maki which were a standout. The ambiance is, of course, magnificent and sets the perfect mood for a special occasion.
Overall, Shiro is a fantastic choice that caters beautifully to both non-vegetarians and vegetarians. Highly recommended for a luxurious and flavorful meal!

We hadn’t booked teppenyaki but Sana managed to pull a few strings to make it happen. It was an awesome experience and the food was outstanding. The prawns were delicious. Excellent service from Sana

Came here to try their “unlimited food” offer. In actualty, the food comes quite slow. And almost all of their non veg sushis are with raw fish, which is okay for me, but not all people eat raw non veg.

Prawn and chives dumplings were nice.
We wanted ebi tempura, which wasn’t available so the server suggested another dish which we claimed had fried prawns but those were also not fried.. grilled maybe.

Also there were people smoking openly despite there being a dedicated room to smoke and the staff didn’t seem to care.

Ok ok experience.

Shiro is hands down one of the best restaurants in Bangalore! Every dish bursts with unique flavors, beautifully crafted with attention to detail. From appetizers to mains, the food never disappoints and always feels special.

The service is equally amazing, attentive, friendly, and professional, which makes the whole experience even better. The team goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and taken care of.

Whether it’s for a special night out or just to indulge in incredible food, Shiro is the place I’d recommend without a second thought. Truly a gem in Bangalore!

My first visit to Shiro from the UK – we had accidentally booked a normal table instead of teppanyaki. Sana was so helpful and even though you were fully booked he managed to squeeze us in as it was our last night in India, extremely grateful. Service was brilliant and food was exceptional. We will be returning!
