We were wonderfully surprised as we walked in. The space was open and inviting with modern decor. Everything we ordered was delicious but you definitely must try the okra appetizer and chicken 65. Both were cooked well and very pleasing in both taste and texture. We will definitely return and highly suggest others stop in.

Always at the top of my favorite Indian in the Madison area. Great selection on Naan. I’ve tried lots of the Dosa and am never disappointed.

Interior was very pretty and clean. Our waitress was very nice, and the food was absolutely delicious and came out very quickly. The place wasn’t very busy when we came in and which is a shame because this place is so good.

Hands down, one of the 2 best Indian restaurants in the Madison metropolitan area. Food is fresh & high quality. Service is efficient. Also, note that the Sun Prairie location is very different from the west side location…menu is different, and all-around a better restaurant.

Absolutely love Swagat! Beautiful decor, comfortable seating, very clean, wonderful atmosphere. Wait staff are friendly and always very welcoming. Our family goes there often, I absolutely love the Chicken Tikka Masala, my husband loves the Chilly Chicken and my son loves the Chicken Korma. The Garlic Naan bread is the best ever! The food is excellent! Always a wonderful experience. Unfortunately we are moving out of the area, we still plan to take the little over an hour trip now and then back to our favorite place.

Very nice place, but glad I wasn’t driving as it’s in that whole conglomerate area just west of Sun Prairie. Food was hot (temp-wise) & very tasty. I had the Shrimp Masala MILD. Yes, you can select your level of “heat” at this Indian cuisine restaurant. The only reasons I did not rate 5 stars for Food & Service are: The large shrimp in my dish were fully submerged, as they should be, in the Masala “sauce” – think nicely seasoned thick, creamy tomato soup – but had the tails on!!! It is not possible to get all of the shrimp meat out of the tail without picking them up with one’s fingers – which makes for very messy eating!! And for service, there were 4 of us, but for unknown reasons each of our bar drinks were brought one at a time. I do not understand why our wait person didn’t wait to bring all 4 at once. Strange. We were there about 6-630pm on a Thursday night & they were not busy, so maybe making 4 trips back & forth to the bar gave her something to do? Who knows. Overall, a very nice time & a good meal. Oh, we also ordered Chili Cheese Naan & Garlic Cheese Naan. I had some of the Chili Cheese Naan. It was also very good. I’d planned on saving room for the Mango ice cream for dessert, but was full. I highly recommend it though!!
