I stopped in for lunch while passing through Asheville. I was able to walk in and place my order without any wait. I ordered a #13 in a bowl. I asked for it to be finished Mike’s way add pickles. My order was finished quickly and was accurate. My only note was that at this location the bowl was just a regular take out box and not the usual one that Jersey Mike’s uses. Because of this, some of the lettuce was stuck to the box and got on my car. I’m not sure if they were out of the normal boxes or this is just what they use.

I ordered a hot sub right at 12:30. I paid about $18 and proceeded to wait about 45 minutes and asked them what was going on with my sub. They then told me that they’re just now putting it on the grill. I decided to just walk out and not ask for a Refund. This was terrible service and no one should have to wait that long at a fast food joint.

I know I ordered a hot sub but I waited for over 45 min. Give me a heads up if my sandwich is like 37th in line instead of just have me twiddle my thumbs for an hour. I literally watched 27 people come in, order, receive, and finish their lunch before my sandwich was ready.

I was disappointed. There are very few topping choices, only 3 kinds of bread and two kinds of cheese. I thought Subway was “sub-par” but they have more bread options, toasted option, more cheese choices and more toppings. Subway is also cheaper. The only thing I like is the 3 size options. The mini is perfect for my little one. I tried it once – probably won’t go again

Is my favorite Jersey mikes in the Asheville area. The staff is superfriendly and helpful always very upbeat. They have the best sandwiches anywhere around the region and they don’t mind customizing any of their menu items for you however they can. I can’t say enough about this location I love Jersey mikes but this store is just extra special. If you’re getting food delivered on doordash or Uber eats this store is really really fast with their online orders so your driver shouldn’t have any problem at all picking it up quick and getting on the way to you. Pro tip: If you are planning on purchasing 2 subs order the giant and have them cut it in half and make 2 separate sandwiches for you you’ll save about $4+. All of the staff are great at their jobs but if you are lucky enough To come in when Stacy is making sandwiches you are in luck she is a sub making wizard.

Probably my last visit to Jersey Mike’s. Over the past year or so, there has been a decline in the quality of beef used in the showboat #17 steak and cheese sub. At this location, the #17 doesn’t seem prepared the same way twice. Mostly dry and flavorless now. There was a time when I’d stop in once or twice a week for lunch or dinner. Now, it’s once every couple of months in the hope things had improved. Also, this location never seems really clean. Good location. Good parking.

My mom and I went here after completing some shopping. It was not lunch hour, we were the only ones in line and there were four employees chatting with one another and then two of them proceeded to the back without acknowledging us at all in any manner. When they were confronted about the situation- their only response was “I’m sorry”. To say the least we walked out.

Edit 2: Its been 4 months since an employee yelled at me about calling them out for not washing their hands and touching RTE food product with bare hands…. Today I couldn’t resist, I caved and got a wrap. They must have changed the size of the wrap recently, as I got a mini sized wrap (smaller than a bag of Doritos)… Also, I chose “curbside pickup” as I had my dog in the car, even though I gave my car description in the app the young lady that was assigned bringing out my order tried to give it to someone else, I even backed in right in front of the door so they could easily see the make/model of the car. Yet another experience that should teach me not to ever go back here. SMH this restaurant chain used to be AWESOME, now it’s less than subpar.

Edit: During my last visit, experiencing even worse disregard for proper hand washing procedures, and reaching out to Pat/Phil and getting no response I will not be returning to any local Jersey Mike’s in the foreseeable future. There’s plenty of other food options along Airport Road that not only have better sanitation practices but also safer parking lot accomodations… Moe’s next door, Sonic across the street, Subway down the road just for a couple examples.

Would have been 5 stars except it’s flu season and these guys are touching money and their aprons while wearing food safe gloves without changing gloves or washing their hands in between using the register and working on the next sandwich. I know from experience this isn’t Mike’s Way, much less safe food handling procedures. I expect more from our local JM. 🙁
