I wish I loved this as much as I thought I was going to. Genuinely, I was so excited as the pictures made the food look phenomenal. Unfortunately, it wasn’t something that I could even force myself to finish. The buns were dripping in grease, the weenie was really salty- but it’s a hot dog so I tried to look past that. There wasn’t really any good side options & the dragon fruit lemonade was just extra pink lemonade. The tacos had a good flavor but were also just very greasy- so greasy the tortilla was falling apart. Maybe, it was just a bad day but I would maybe rethink some menu options and the preparation of the food. The interior was on point style wise, just dark but I could have definitely moved past that had the food been worth it.

Drove 30 minutes to be served a bland, half a sausage “hot dog”. Place opened at 6 pm and I got there at 7:30 for them to tell me they are out of fries. The food also took an hour to come out.. many people had cancelled their order before us due to the wait. I wish the wait would of at least been worth it.
This place is the definition of good advertising because it sure fooled me.

I can’t believe I just paid $6 for half of a sausage and a small bag of chips. Stripes hot dogs are by far tastier. I can’t see them lasting at the Eatery in Weslaco.
