Amazing place, Jason is the “host”, calm, peaceful, friendly, just like your best friend, that is at the same time, the best local food expert: take you to the see what he’s got that day in the fish/seafood window, and then try to do his best to get the meal of our lives: your personal taste, that suits with his long local expertise. He knows that land since he was a kid, and has on his side the best suppliers, to deliver the best experience. We came to this restaurant based on a recommendation, and we’re so glad we did. It’s located right by the pier, where fishing boats come in the morning — the owners buy the catch directly from the fishermen and cook it the same day, and you can really taste that freshness in every dish.

Everything was delicious, warm, and had a genuine, home-style feel. We ordered percebes (served cold here) and, for the first time, tried cracas and limpets. The staff explained that these come from the other side of the island, while the tuna for our tataki is caught locally. The fish was excellent and prepared with great care. My partner loved here caipirinha, too.

Our only regret was arriving late — we wanted to try the tartare, but the kitchen had already closed. Highly recommended, but come for lunch if you can.
