I enjoyed the meal. Mac & Cheese had that baked crisp on the cheese with a good balance of gooey. The Cabbage was well cooked, and had a vinegar flavor that worked just right. The chicken was tender, hot and juicy with a nice flavor. The sauce had a hit of cucumber to brighten the flavor of the spices- a brilliant combination. Well done, “Chef”.

I honestly only leave reviews when the service is just that bad that I can’t help it. I’ve ordered from this place times before and it’s decent usually. Not the best jerk I’ve had but it’ll do. But today was terrible. First, they cut off their phone so you couldn’t order in. So I get there and order a single dark dinner with Mac & cheese and yams, and a 1/2 dark. Again I’ve ordered this before and haven’t had too big of problems. But the guy who was back there today wasn’t the usual guy and it showed. Not only did it take almost 30 minutes for me to get my food, but when I finally get it the chicken is old and dried out. I was already upset about the wait but said I understand because the chicken must be coming out fresh. But hell no this chicken was definitely old. So I have no idea what took 30 minutes for me to be sold some chicken that clearly has been sitting for awhile. Then the Mac and cheese is only god knows what. It literally looks like prison slop and im too disgusted to even try it. Im very disappointed because this was my lunch today and I almost was late for work waiting on the food and the quality is absolutely terrible.

I finally caught this restaurant open and was super excited to see that they sell Egusi soup and fufu the first picture is me showing you the size of this bowl my hands are small and the portion amount was about the same size of my hand for $26. On to the taste the actual flavor of the soup was great and the perfect amount of spice however the actual meat that was in it was hard and a little burnt like it was from the bottom of the pot but it was hardly any meat in it what I had was soup , fat, A LOT OF SKIN and bones. I paid $26 for scraps and it sucks because by the taste of the actual soul I can tell a fresh meaty pot would’ve been so good.

I purchased two all white chicken dinners with cabbage and macaroni. I called the orders. Haven’t been in awhile so the person there wasn’t the usual gentleman. I knew there was going to be a wait so that was ok. My cabbage was horrible no seasoning you can taste the vinegar and macaroni was horrible bland not cheesy . The chicken wasn’t chopped up at all . Excellent! My husband brought wings and fries. I do believe they are one of the best out there. Simply the best taste. Food hot and cooked to order. We visited 2 days straight! My new go to for food.

The food was good I ordered a whole white the meat was juicy and a hint of spice I also had curry chicken with Mac and cheese and the greens the greens were amazing and whoever made the jerk sauce please keep making it when I’m towards Gary this is ny favorite spot

Thanks. I arrived late at night on a Saturday night for take-out. The restaurant only does take out. I appreciate them being there. The 3 entrées took 45 minutes to prepare. I imagine that’s because food is made from scratch, and it’s not sitting under heat lamps.
If you want your food “faster” call ahead for your order. After 9 p.m., the restaurant does not do call-in pickup orders. I gave 5 stars all around. Entrées come with a good portion of food.
Be sure to check on your takeout order before you leave the shop.

[My drive from the restaurant was 20 minutes plus another 5 minutes to get settled before I could eat any food. Of course, it was cold by then. I heated it up in the microwave. If you’re getting it delivered or have a drive back home, expect that. The reason why I’m stating the obvious here is because I’m not sure if that contributed to the fries and chicken tenders that I ordered being very soggy and oily by the time I got home. It was so oily I could only take one bite and about 5 fries. We liked everything else we ordered. The price was great. I think we should give small businesses the chance to make orders right and even shop them a few times before we give up on their products. Talk to management so they are aware of any issue. Too often, people are overly picky in regards to local businesses, but big national and international chains we don’t like service, but we shop there every week without a written or official complaint.]

Absolutely ecstatic that they got shut down. We picked up many door dash orders from them and the food looked and smelled genuinely disgusting. Without any exaggeration, the food smell was somewhere between burning plastic and old nasty chicken. They refused to let us get a receipt or scan it for delivery purposes. The service was unbelievably bad. The woman and man behind the counter were extremely rude. I legit worry for anyone that ate there because the city just shut them down for health code violations. They did no returns or refunds and they wouldn’t even give you a receipt. And they would double bag your food and tie up it tight and yell at you for opening the food inside. And they did this specifically because they often messed up orders and did not wanting you finding out until you left. The poor reviews are absolutely deserved. They literally would intentionally screw your order up and tell you to screw off. Absolutely henious place to eat. They deserve this because they were legit scamming people and had rhe nerve to serve dangerous slop

The chicken is so good! Seasoned and cooked to perfection. I wish rice came with all dinners because it’s a subpar side. The sides can be a hit or miss some days. This day was a miss for those overcooked plantains. The other reviews about the wait are true, but you can call ahead and just pick up so I don’t see that as a problem.
