Blue Tortilla goes out of its way to serve the freshest ingredients and the food is large and plentiful. The burritos weigh a couple of pounds and the quesedillas are bigger than dinner plates!

I’ve been coming here for quite some time. After moving from NY I definitely have missed this place. Taco pascadero, and burrito gamba is what I got.

Came to Blue Tortilla Mexican Grille to catch dinner with an old friend who was visiting town. Was helped at the counter by a young man named Sebastian who provided excellent and knowledgable service. I asked him what his thoughts on the plantains were as they are a childhood favorite of mine and he said he highly recommended them as they were a personal favorite of his. We also ordered 2 chicken burritos aswell as 3 tacos al pastor. The plantains were delicious (Thank you Sebastian for the recommendation!) the burritos were large and flavorful and the tacos tasted great. Nice clean restauraunt with friendly staff and a wide selection of scrumptious dishes.

Ordered this place for the first time today. Someone highly recommended them. Honestly, was disappointed by the quality of the food and the presentation. I ordered delivery and stuff came to us on a paper plate. Which left it cold and soggy by the time it came to us. Half of my meal was missing and the one thing that did come had ingredients that I had requested off due to an allergy. Probably won’t be eating here again.

Not one to leave bad reviews but I ordered this very expensive barbacoa burrito. When I cut it in half I was wondering where the barbacoa was. There’s literally no meat in this burrito. It was all rice and beans barely even any cheese. I called to nicely let them know and the employee explained the costs of everything has forced them to cut portions. Although the portion of meat I got was non existent. I understand everything is expensive, that is still no excuse to rip customers off. If I order a burrito with meat, and I’m paying for it, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a fair portion of meat. I also willingly paid $1 for a tiny side of sour cream just for them to be cheap on the meat portion. The burrito was also very dry. I wouldn’t order from here again.

Called at 8:50 pm on a Friday and asked for delivery , they said they can’t deliver cause they close at 10 and don’t have a driver . Very disappointed when it’s a Friday night and wanted to order over 1 hour before close for a gathering with friends . Girl on the phone sounded like she was sleeping and turned down an order for 8 people .

I used to love this place. I remember when it first opened. Massive burritos, fresh hot chips, and a salsa bar. Never had a bad meal. For years this place was the best in the area for cheap flavorful burritos and tacos.
Something terrible has happened. While back in town I got lunch here and it is nothing like the blue tortilla of years past. I ordered a steak fajita salad. It was almost inedible. First, they forgot the steak (which they/uber eats rectified with a refund, so that’s good). But even the fajita veggies were bad. They weren’t fresh, they were mushy and tasted like they had been sitting in a tub of oil and veggies all day. And the rest of the salad was just cheap flavorless iceberg lettuce. Even the guacamole lacked flavor. How do you mess up guacamole? It would have been better if it was just fresh sliced avocado, which tells me that they aren’t using fresh ingredients.
Photo of salad attached to this review. A salad should not look like a mushy pile of veggies.
I tried a steak taco from another person in my order and that was decent but nothing to brag about. The steak lacked flavor. Another person in my order had a quesadilla and that looked ok. And the chips were good (and they gave us lots). And their house salsa was as good as I remember it, a delicious cold fire roasted tomato salsa that perfectly complements hot and salty tortilla chips. So maybe the menu is hit or miss. But this many things shouldn’t go wrong in simple cheap Mexican food.
Blue Tortilla needs to fix its kitchen. Use fresh ingredients. Use more seasoning. And don’t send out incomplete orders. I hope it does because this place used to be really great.
