Shanghai Kitchen, authentic shanghai food in Denver for 25 years since 2000. Owner Harry came from shanghai, he is master at cooking authentic shanghai dishes. This past Chinese New year, we were invited by the magazine 5280 to present two authentic Chinese food meals to its readers.

Absolutely delicious. Have been twice now and everything has been great. Service is beyond expectations, my drink will be empty for a couple of seconds and the waitress would be at my table offering a refill. The food comes out piping hot. Really have to give props to the fried rice. I haven’t found a place in Colorado that I’ve enjoyed after checking lots of places and this place has been my savior.

Dined in with two of my sons for an early dinner. We were promptly greeted as we entered. The dining area was clean and the bathroom was also well maintained. Sometimes when you go to certain restaurants the bathroom has a sewer like smell and I was glad that was not the case here. We ordered salt and pepper shrimp from the Chinese menu, Mongolian beef and sesame chicken. We were all very pleased with our meal, the service and our overall dining experience.

Here, spicy is spicy, and not just making things hot, there’s a lot of authentic spices I don’t get at other places. Nothing here is from a can, and portions are not made smaller through tricks, even lunch will fill you up.
It’s not cheap, but it’s not expensive. The price is more then fair for both the quality and volune you get.

We had a fantastic group dinner at this wonderful, authentic Chinese restaurant! We were in a private room with about ten people, and the atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxing. The staff was amazing—they were always making sure we had more dishes, and my drink never ran out!
My Chinese wife said the food was very authentic and delicious.
If you’re craving Chinese food, this is definitely the place to go. I highly recommend it!

This is my favorite restaurant in the DTC area. They have really delicious Chinese food. Both American Chinese and traditional Chinese dishes. I highly recommend it if you’re in the south metro Denver area.

A coworker and myself tried this place for lunch. Such wonderful and attentive service! We were greeted immediately and given a nice table near the window. We asked for suggestions on appetizers and very happy with spicy pork wonton. I ordered the general tao’s chicken and very happy with the portion size and the overall flavor of the meal. Their menu is quite diverse, it also has Thai selections which my coworker ordered. We will definitely be back again and I look forward to trying more selections from the menu.

Great place we found through reviews and a little searching while in the area. This restaurant has been around for years and deserves the many accolades and positive comments from other reviewers.
Definitely has a family feel where the chef/owner came out and chatted to us about menu options, and even whipped up something special for us when we couldn’t quite find what we were in the mood for on the menu.
Overall the food was authentic and delicious, and appreciated the personalized service. Highly recommended.

It unfortunately to make a bad review but if I didn’t pay almost $18 for a Pad Thai 🙁
It was really bland, noodles were almost sticky and dry. I’ve never had a pad Thai like that with cabbage and cucumbers? Shared with my boyfriend and maybe there was some cross contamination somewhere in the cooking with gluten even though pad Thai is rice noodles, so he got super sick. The staff was kind so it’s hard to put a bad review but this was the worst pad Thai I’ve ever had unfortunately. But I’m sure the other menu items are good?
