I’ve dined at The Chophouse twice. The first time for my birthday, and the second time a personal celebration with my spouse. The food and service were fantastic on both occasions. Sajannah and Team were attentive and an absolute joy to have serving us. A true white glove experience. Everyone we interacted with was professional and friendly.
These visits ranked as two of the best meals I’ve ever had. The filet mignon, which I ordered both times, I requested blue, were made perfectly by the chef. The cold water oysters, lollipop lamb chops, and sweet & spicy calamari appetizers were fantastic. The cocktails were top shelf and wonderful. I recommend the Chop House Old Fashioned.
We indulged in Louis XIII Cognac with our dessert. The presentation of this rare 100 year old spirit is magnificent. The taste is even better! A true Cognac lovers dream. The bananas foster creme brulee, and New York style cheesecake were decadent. A perfect end, to a perfect meal.
An excellent experience all around. We are already planning to celebrate Valentine’s Day here. If you enjoy fine dining, in my humble opinion, this is the best restaurant in Toledo.

We went January 19th 2026. Bitter cold, but the restaurant was awesome. Rob the server was fantastic with the rest of the serving group. He was funny and attentive, but not overly annoying attentive. Popped in and out at the exact right time. Food was high end but not overly priced. They had a surf and turf special going on for $55. If you’re looking for a special day dinner, or a more upscale dinning experience, definitely recommend. Wife got down on the espresso martinis, and boy was she a load of fun on the way home!!!

Wow and wow. The food was exquisite. The service was excellent.

My husband and I had dinner with my brother and brother-in-law at this beautiful restaurant in September of last year. I’m only now getting to the review. I had to review this restaurant, despite my delay, because I loved it so much.

We celebrated my birthday at The Chop House. I can’t imagine a better place to celebrate. From the moment we walked in the door, our every need was addressed – often by more than one server and at one point by the manager.

The atmosphere was beyond beautiful. Little to no noise in the restaurant and beautiful views. The tables were appropriately spaced, so you didn’t feel crowded.

Our wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. They didn’t miss a beat. If your drink was low, they asked if you needed another. I had a fabulous margarita. Two lovely waitresses shook my drink tableside.

Before we ordered, we were given an electroni menu that accurately described the different types of steaks and specifically described steak temperatures. From the menu, “we take our beef pretty seriously at the Chop House . . .” They weren’t lying. Our steaks were cooked perfectly.

I oredred french onion soup before dinner. It was the perfect size. It was delicious. I’ll order the same thing I ordered for dinner my first time at the Chop House, the next time I visit. It was just that good.

My husband had the chop salad. He loved it – especially the sugar crusted pecans.

I had steak and lobster for my entree. My steak was perfectly cooked. My lobster was perfectly seasoned, popped from the shell so easy to manage, and also perfectly cooked. I loved my meal.

My husand had tenderloin. It, too, was perfectly cooked. The presentation for all of our meals was off the charts.

We ordered mushrooms, mac-n-cheese, and green beans to share. Everything was so good. (We took a lot of food home!)

I loved that the dessert menu was also on an Ipad, because it made deciding what to order so much easier. I selected the smoked chocolate Mousse Pie. It was made on an oreo crust, with chocolate mouse, whip cream and rasberry. Out of this world.

Because we were celebrating my birthday, the dessert came out for the table with a candle. So lovely and thoughtful.

With the tip, for four adults, the bill was just over $500. I guess it is easy for me to say how worth it it was given my brother-in-law paid, but still I’d pay that amount again for the same experience. It truly wasn’t just about how above par the food was, it was a combination of the atmosphere, the incredible wait staff and the excellent food.

Best restaurant in Toledo.

Had an opportunity to finally try the Chop House on Toledo. Upon entering the hostess was smiling and welcomed us into the experience being @ Toledo Chop House. Was escorted to our table with the aound of live music as the pianist was in the house. Lovely view at dusk added to the ambience. Liz our main wait staff welcomed us with a smile and warmth, of which we felt thru the whole evening. A little house wine and starters of Brazilian cheese bread. Shrimp cocktail started the night off. Followed by Onion Soup Au Gratin. with a warmed pear salad. Hard act to follow as the salad was superb. not to be outdone by Lump Blue Crab & Lobster Cakes. This is the best we have tried.. Another dish, filet and lobster with a spectacular presentation, accompanied with Baked potato and toppings. Dessert is always chocolate and the mousse cake did just that. Topped off a perfect dinner. Again Liz kept in step with us not rushing but ensuring all of our needs were met in our time frame. She is on point. and added to our experience. Appreciate Liz took the time to go thru and make recommendations , made us feel she valued our business. We did linger and was not rushed. Will recomend to any in the area of Toledo. this is a showcase restaurant along with wonderful staff that can help you for any celebratory event.

My husband & I drove 2 hours from near chagrin Falls, Ohio to try something different. I checked out restaurants within a couple hours from our house and the chophouse looked so beautiful had wonderful reviews & a lovely menu
Rob was our Sever & he was fantastic!! He answered my many different questions about items on the menu. He explained things very clearly and had a wonderful fun sense of humor and New just want to come back & check on us
We had 2 drinks which were really nice
I had a nonalcoholic strawberry fizz, and my husband had a Bloody Mary Which he gets a lot of places, but said this one was really really good
The popover rolls are to die for, but I only had half because I knew I would fill up lol
For an appetizer, we had the shrimp & lobster bites, which were so delicious & very creative. I love restaurants that have different items than all the usual suspects lol my husband’s entree was the lamb chops and he added a lobster tail I had the crab and lobster crabcakes as a side we shared the au gratin potatoes & for dessert We had the bananas foster crème brûlée, which was next level ( My husband did not care for the salsa Verde that came with the lamb chops and the Gratin potatoes were just ok .. The garlic mashed chive potatoes sounded fantastic) The atmosphere is beautiful & the piano player was a lovely touch. We will definitely come back and try some of the other wonderful items they have on the menu

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. We got the steak bite appetizer, Cesar salad, the $130 steak for two, and the baked mac and cheese. No drinks this time but the final bill was just over 200 bucks. Everything tasted great and we were good and full afterward. They brought my wife out a card and small desert for her birthday. They even packed up thr bone to take home for our dog, which he absolutely loved as well. Would recommend this restaurant for any big celebrations in your life.

My husband and I had dinner at The Chop House before the Walleye game. Since it was 5 PM, the restaurant wasn’t too crowded. The elegant ambiance and stunning riverwalk view made for a great dining experience. Our server was friendly and attentive. We started with the French Onion Soup and shared the Surf & Turf, mushrooms, and a baked potato—it was the perfect portion for both of us. My husband enjoyed his Old Fashioned, and I loved my Lemon Drop. We can’t wait to return!
