I remember going to Ninfas as a youngster to go and buy tortillas and they would always give me a tortilla with butter to eat while I waited as they made my tortillas fresh right there in front of me. Well runs through short I moved to Arizona for 21 years and I never forgot about this place orange the flavor of their tortillas in the smell as they were being baked fresh every morning. Since I have been back in Kansas this is my second trip back to visit Ninfas and now they have a few tables inside and they have a menu which I don’t remember them having at all before because what I remember it was only tortillas and it was perfectly fine just like that but now they have a menu however I went slowly for the purpose of getting tortillas so that I can get enough for me and some to share with my brother as he also shares memories of eating their tortillas when we were younger. You can’t buy tortillas cheaper in the store and you can’t find any better tortillas anywhere basically unless you are to make them yourself and even then they wouldn’t have that taste that I remember from being a kid so I give them a five all the way around and as far as atmosphere, for it to be a hole in the wall, tortilla store, they have set up some tables quite nicely for people to be able to come in and enjoy a fantastic authentic Mexican dish. No disrespect intended when I called it a hole in the wall tortilla place but this place was just a little hole in the wall that only made Tortillas when I was younger and they have expanded some since I was younger which has allowed them to put the tables and provide dining in service. This place definitely gets a five all the way around and I would recommend it to your friends and their family. Remember I did live for 21 years in Arizona where I learned to make tortillas like it was making toast so I’m pretty Mastered on the whole tortilla area so I would love to hear anybody else’s opinion about this place after reading my review. I have been buying from Ninfa’s Taqueria on Kansas Ave since the 90s, and after all these years, they are still unmatched.
Hands down, these are the best flour tortillas in the city. You just can’t find that homemade, authentic texture anywhere else. Beyond the food, the service makes this place special. Mike is absolutely amazing—always friendly, welcoming, and runs a tight ship.
It is rare to find a spot that stays this consistent and high-quality for over three decades. If you haven’t been yet, you are missing out on a local gem!

Awesome little mom and pop taqueria in KCK. Highly recommend stopping in for a meal. They have all day breakfast items along with their lunch menu as well. The place is fairly small so plan accordingly.
I had the huevos rancheros with pork. Excellent red sauce and tender pork smothering the eggs. Delicious!

Nothing good about this place whatsoever. Cold crumbly flour tortilla, shredded cheese out of a bag. Got a tablespoon each of beans and rice. The place is absolutely filthy. What a mess.
