We were in town for another long weekend. This time Layton’s was not as good as last time. We sat immediately and our order was taken quickly but that’s where the good stopped. I ordered a large fresh squeezed orange juice and when it came out it was 8oz of juice. I asked the waitress if she brought me the large and she said yes that’s the large. It was $6 for 8oz of juice and it had seeds in it. You can see the picture of the tiny juice in my hand. I alsoI understand fresh squeezed but seeds should not be in the juice. Additionally, the drinks had tops on them and the waitress dropped them off and went to walk away after my question about the size and I asked how are we supposed to drink the drinks? She then grabbed 3 straws and put them on the table.
Our order was French toast, western omelet, toasted bagel and a side bacon and rye toast. I’m not exaggerating but it took 20 minutes to get our food. The restaurant wasn’t busy either. My kids were asking where’s our food.
Then we get the food. The side of rye was burnt so I ate those and gave my son my pieces which weren’t burnt. My omelet was so greasy from the filling of ham, onions and peppers I couldn’t eat the filling. I ate the eggs which weren’t seasoned at all and left 50% of the ham, peppers and onions. I told the waitress it was greasy and unappetizing. Just very disappointing.

Nice local spot that can get crowded in the summer months. We came on Mother’s Day and were surprised it wasn’t too busy as we sat right away. The service was great and the food was better. We couldn’t have asked for a more satisfying breakfast experience.
