First let me start of by saying our waiter was excellent! I mean she was amazing! She was proactive, kind, relatable, personable, and yet still professional. She equipted us with ALL the utensils needed for cracking and cutting crabs. Even gave our little baby a clean toy to play with. As soon as I get her name im going to add it but when we visited on March 1 she was getting ready to go on a trip to Florida after not going on vacation for 8 years. I mean she was literally one of the best servers we have ever had and if you look at our page you can see we encounter servers all the time.
Ok back to the food review.
We were so excited for crawfish season to jump off. We both ordered 1/2 lb of snow crab and crawfish. And 6 lemon pepper wings as our appetizer.
The wings were great. They had a wonderful crisp to them. The lemon pepper tasted like lemon pepper but not overly seasoned.
Oh and we order a side of Cajun fries. They were good, especially with the boom sausage. The sauce is sweet and something, I cant even put my finger on it but its good.
The crawfish….the crawfish were a really good size the major issue with them is that they dont boil the crawfish in the sauce they boiled ours in water and then tossed them around in the sauce in the bag afterwards. Trust me I know! We went to suck the heads and coughed. Each time we broke a tail off we wanted to suck the heads for the delicious juice but after the third try we didnt want to be disappointed anymore . In order for them to be tasty you had to peel it then scoop up the sauce on the tray. The crawfish themselves was not seasoned at all.
The snow crabs however were boiled in the sauce ♀️ Don’t ask me why they do the snow crab like that and not the crawfish. I really enjoyed the snow crab.
We left disappointed that we spent $80 on food that we felt wasn’t worth it. We decided that since Food City sell 2 lbs of clusters for 25 dollars we will cook our own. And we will also try the other two places in town that sells crawfish.
We wanted to try this since we were out of town and hubby wasn’t with us (he’s allergic)
So ordered the family tray which was a great price for what it came with. Food looked good but just that it looked good.
King crab was recooked as well as eggs,
We picked seasoning but the meat was so bland and rubbery.
We basically had unseasoned butter no garlic and no seasoning.
Corn was bland! I have never eaten at a seafood restaurant and the meat wasn’t seasoned AT ALL!
Came home and reheated with seasonings and it tasted better but won’t be visiting again.
The waitress was very magical at disappearing and only check on us once she was friendly but not attentive.
She asked how was food we said not good and she spun and walked off.
But did yall forget to put the seasoning in the water to cook the food in!
This was the most tasteless seafood boil I ever had!
The restaurant has a nice vibe and feel but also Tennessee people are very friendly and welcoming so that’s a given.
