Carlito Burrito is an award -winning Mexican street food company and Brighton’s first Mexican owned restaurant. We been innovating street food In the UK since 2010 with a period of play in European food markets and festivals. Our inspiration comes from the Mexican Pacific coast and our own family recipes. Utilising traditional cooking methods, we blend the best fair trade chilles and spices from Mexico and the finest Sussex produce to deliver a unique flavour experience. All our tortillas are made to order, on site. As well as our totopos and salsas, like God intended to! On the drinks side we specialise in Margarita’s made with 100% agave Tequila, organic agave syrup and home made botanical cordials .

best restaurant ever!!!! endless great things to say about this place, it’s amazing.
always so so yum, very reasonably priced, staff are always incredibly lovely and always great service, and they make their own nacho chips which don’t go soggy!!!!! this is my absolute number one restaurant and always the one i recommend to people.
i recommend the nachos to share as a starter, the chicken tacos, and any one of the margaritas!!
the decor is also really cool!! great atmosphere
only one tiny downside i can think of is that it can be a bit chilly intermittently if you’re sat by the door, but the delicious food soon warms you up!!!!
this place is awesome, if i won the lottery i would spend the money buying this restaurant so i could eat every single meal here forever

Our first time at Carlito Burrito for birthday dins, a fabulous experience. This place certainly give Halisco Preston St a run for its money. Amazing food and the service was top notch. A must try in Brighton with a lovely cosy vibe to boot.

Let me tell you how it went. After a long day or work i fancied a takeaway. Then I saw carlito burrito…now I wish I hadn’t. Ordered on uber eats excitement brimming….then one of 2 turned up. I had to phone them myself to be told they got the numbers mixed up and they will send another one, but I have to reorder (they gave the refund on one but I still had to pay for another so in essence no refund). When the 2nd turned up, once again, this time the drink was missing. I thought why not it its not the end of the world. I opened the bag…inside lay a bag of burnt sweet potato fries that were inedible, and the sloppiest burrito I have ever seen. I tried but the texture almost made me throw up it was like the tortilla was made of jelly. Ooooh but dont worry they sent a stale bag of nachos as an apology. I eat pretty much anything, my husband pretty much eats anything but this disaster of food was the worst takeaway experience I have ever had in my life and thats saying something.
SO DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR DONT WASTE NEARLY 50 QUID ON THIS PLACE UNLESS U WANT FOOD POISONING OR SOMETHING INEDIBLE YOU DONT WANT TO FEED YOUR BIN

I enjoyed our visit here after a pre theatre visit. The service was good and efficient, the cocktails were absolutely amazing but the food was just ok. The fish tacos were absolutely not ‘life-changing’, the nachos a little dull, no jalapenos just acres of a nacho cheese sauce which seemed to be over and in everything. The cocktails were fantastic though. My partner loved her tamarind margarita and I had an amazing grapefruit thing and then a vodka lime thing.

Best Mexican in Brighton, hands down. With TWO VEGAN OPTIONS (banana blossom fish or plant based chorizo). I definitely recommend getting the habanero sauce on the side for some spice. The drinks were lush too. And the server was bright and lovely. The decor is also really fun. I’ll be back.

Wonderful food, excellent friendly service, quiet atmosphere but there was a wet storm blowing outside! We loved the vegan options – extremely tasty and varied – the vegan chorizo is fabulous!
