At our Cedartown, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Terrible food. My food took 15 minutes for a carry out order. It came out with mysterious crumbs on my friends that were black. My food also looked like it was tossed in the box and shaken. My food was terrible. I got the sampler. The fish tasted extreme off, and I smelled it to find out it smelled like dirty feet. The best thing was probably the 3 shrimp I ate. The food made me feel extremely nauseous. I had people with me and they tried it and had the same results. Would NOT be coming back!!!

Was a little worried to eat here seeing recent reviews. Glad I stopped in tho. Young lady at register was very sweet and even double checked my order. Restaurant seemed clean and food was fresh.

Had an online order. I got there and there was 1 car in the parking lot with one car ahead of me in the drive thru. Took TWENTY minutes to get my food after the pick up time with ONE car ahead of me. Once I got to the window, the person there was preparing drinks (probably for the car behind me, which I didn’t have one) and took another 3 minutes to even ask what the name on the order was while I saw my food just sitting there. Got home and it was almost completely cold. The slowest place in town BY FAR!! This has happened multiple times I’ve been lately. Not sure if under new management or what, but workers have no urgency to get orders out, while not taking care of the first customer first. Ridiculous and unacceptable. I will not be back. This place has gone way down hill the last year or so.

I always go there due to loving their food but on this particular night I went thru drive thru and got a 2pc fish & fried meal all for my fries to be cold and my fish tastes like it’s been sitting there under a warmer! UNACCEPTABLE, then when I called the stores to acknowledge this ; the manager on duty didn’t seem to care at all!

The girl working drive-thru was not nice at all. She did give me my condiments, but no cutlery. Of course the last time I was there and asked for a knife they didn’t have any. I’m on my lunch break and some of us do eat fish with a fork. The food quality has gone way down hill. I got the lobster bites, fish, and fries. The fish is not much bigger around than the fries. I’m not going back.

My food was fine, (although hub’s coleslaw tasted of nothing). The service was fine also. But I was very disappointed to be told that you aren’t carrying lobster any more, despite it still being listed on the menu and promoted on the window posters. I understand it’s seasonal, but make the changes in the advertising and menu boards please

At 8:15pm I was really craving fish. I bypassed other fast food places (McDonald’s, Burger King, etc). I figured Captain D’s would be a step up from the other places. I got the fish and shrimp combo for $5.99. they took my money close the window. I sat idling at the window waiting for my food for no less than 10 minutes! Firstly, I should have been told that there would be a wait so that I could decide if I wanted to do that. Ten whole minutes! I live not even 2 minutes up the street. The fish and shrimp were hot; the hush puppies and French fries weren’t even warm. They were cold and disgusting! If I had to wait 10 minutes for them to cook the fish and shrimp, do you mean to tell me I couldn’t get fresh fries and hush puppies? AND my tray was filled with these mysterious crumbs that I assume came from someone else’s fish order. WTH? Was that my bonus or thank you for waiting? I was only expecting so much but I am abysmally disappointed!

I ordered fish and shrimp only to find out you could only get if you order online. Ended up having to pay for 2 orders. Why didn’t the sever tell me that when taking my order. Want be back there any more. What a waste of money .
