I went to this Italian restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately they weren’t fully met. The barramundi risotto was more like mush, although the fish itself was good. I chose the place for the carpaccio after seeing a great photo online, but what arrived was very disappointing and poorly presented.
On the positive side, the chilli mussels and pork belly were delicious, even if I actually specified “no chilli” and there was chilli in it. My partner enjoyed his Calabrese pasta, and we really liked the wine.
Service was inconsistent: when our mains arrived, we had no cutlery and had to take some from a nearby table after being ignored. I also had to go to the bar myself to ask for takeaway containers. When we finished, we left a stack of plates to the side, but the waiters seemed more busy chatting than clearing the table.
Overall, it was a mixed experience with some good dishes but disappointing highlights. Perhaps it’s better to order delivery instead.

Natalie, I believe, was our server and she was absolutely amazing. It was our first time eating here and its safe to say we’ll definitely be back! The food was amazing and my partner and I can’t wait to dine here again. I ordered the blue swimmer crab pasta and the crab tasted so fresh which I find rare nowadays and their chips are some of the best I’ve had in a very long time.

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed here yet. We discovered this restaurant about six months ago. We live close by but it’s one of those places we just always drove past. Since going once, we’ve been about half a dozen times and never had a bad meal. They know how to cook a decent steak, the pasta is always fresh and above expectation, and somehow their chips – yes, the hot chips at an Italian family restaurant – are incredible. Whether it’s pasta night, steak night, kids eat free night, or just a day without specials, we always look forward to Forchetta night.

Exceptional service especially from the front of house lady. She was all over takeaway orders, seating guests and following up on customers with their orders and drinks whilst walking the restaurant. Absolute asset to the owners. Other staff were great too. Meals served in a timely matter and of great taste and quality.

Not as great as the reviews stated. Extremely expensive for what you get. Quick friendly service but took a while to get water I asked for. The drinks were okay but the pizza carnivora did not have any taste at all. It tasted like boiled lunch meat with very minimal tomato sauce, they didn’t even put cheese on the pizza or it was so minimal that you couldn’t even notice it. The pasta was thick and nice but I can’t believe you actually have to spend extra dollars to get a little portion of chicken or beef or whatever you choose. Highly expensive in the quality is not there.

Our all time favourite restaurant for yummy pasta and mussels, their pasta cooked al dente with rich sauce, mussels is fresh and tasty. Always forgot to take photo before we eat as yummy food can’t wait a second.

The restaurant was busy when we went on Saturday evening, but service was very fast. The food was excellent, the portions perhaps a little too generous, and the prices very reasonable. They even seem to be able to sell a bottle of wine for $35! We shall certainly return to Forchetta.

Second visit to Italian Forchetta in Canning Vale and the quality is consistently excellent. The food is outstanding—rich, authentic flavours and beautifully prepared. Easily a 9/10. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and clearly a kitchen that cares about doing Italian food properly. Highly recommended…..$$$
