A solid DiCarlo’s franchise. Opening hours have faded a bit, which I’d attribute to the area’s economy. DiCarlo’s pizza is best understood to outsiders as more of a “snack pizza”, with a thinnish crust. Cheese and pepperoni get added after it leaves the oven, which annoys some people. Frankly, it’s like any other food — you gotta be in the mood for it. Pic is of four slices about ten minutes out the oven, upon arrival. My pizza aficionado buddy called them “perfect.” YMMV.

Crispy crust, but still a nice layer of dough on the top. Extra cheese on the side makes it great! The pepperoni is not cooked, so I prefer not adding this as a topping. Instead, I choose pepper rings to top it off! A local hot spot for great pizza.

DiCarlo’s Pizza–Glendale is a hidden gem! The shop is clean and simple with everything you need, but the real star is the pizza. The crispy crust, sweet sauce, and Parmesan finish make it absolutely unforgettable. Every bite is perfection! Wish we lived closer because this is a one-of-a-kind pie—totally worth the trip!

I did not order this “pizza.” I did not eat this “pizza”. My wife ordered this “pizza”. My wife loves this “pizza”. With that said I have eaten pizza from this diCarlos in the past. It’s the best version of the cold cheese pizza in WV. Of course it might be the only version of it in WV.

It’s not the depression or the 1979 oil crisis. You can use some fossil fuels to melt the cheese. 😉

You should try this “pizza”.

It’s not as good as I’ve had in Weirton, West Virginia or Steubenville, Ohio. When you ask for extra cheese its extra cheese. I asked for extra cheese it looked like my husband’s regular cheese on his pizza . The sauce wasn’t as good. They are expensive per slice. $1.55 plus .45 for extras. So we got 4 2 regular, 2 extra cheese. Almost $8. Wow. I was disappointed because I grew up eating Dicarlo’s pizza.

This is 5 stars all around for me. I grew up having DiCarlo’s my entire childhood. I moved across the country after college and DiCarlo’s is my first stop every time I return home. Every time it has the same unique taste of home for me. It just can’t be replicated – and I have been trying to replicate it for 35 years.

First time at DiCarlo’s. Loved the crunch of the pizza! Sauce was tasty and the toppings were plentiful!

I am not used to this style of pizza. I personally like warm toppings and a little melted cheese.

I really wanted to keep supporting this local spot, but it’s just not worth it anymore. Prices have gone up way too much, and passing credit card merchant fees onto customers—which feels like a cash grab. On top of that, there’s pressure to tip for service that barely meets the minimum standard, and staff seem annoyed if you don’t. There are plenty of other nearby places offering better value and friendlier service. It’s frustrating to see a business expect loyalty from the community while nickel-and-diming every customer and likely paying staff the bare minimum. This isn’t what supporting local should feel like. Shame, really.
