I went with a friend. I got a salad and the hash brown casserole. My lovely friend got chicken and dumplings.
My salad was with a vinegar type dressing that evidently they added a lot of sugar too and was way to sweet. I only ate that tomatoes and the cucumber and gave up. The hash browns were good but a small order.
My friend got a plate that was basically one big dumpling with really no liquid. She asked the girl to bring her some of the liquid and the girl brought her two small bowls that were dry. They did take the chicken and dumplings off the bill but it was nowhere up to their standards. I was disappointed. Neither one of us got much to eat.
The tea was good

The most amazing thing about Cracker Barrel is the consistency across the board. No matter where I travel I find a way to make my way to Cracker Barrel .

I haven’t been to a CB in years. Hasn’t changed much. Pretty busy and lots of things to buy out front. Had a tasty Cajun shrimp dish and turnip greens. Yum! They had vinegar for my greens. Bread was slow coming out, waitress was apologetic. Enjoyed the friendly staff.
And we could pay at the table by scanning the receipt….. so we bypassed the long line of old folks paying individually at the register.

I came after 9pm with an 11pm close time. I was seated promptly. It did take a while but a server came and said she would get my waitress. She came back and said my waitress wasn’t taking any more tables but she would be happy to take me. The lady that helped me was very nice. I apologized I was so late but told her it had been 12 hours since I had eaten due to work and still had an hour drive home ahead of me. She completely understood and was so professional offering everything she could in a timely manner so I could get going. I love their food and was pretty happy all around.

My experience visiting this Cracker Barrel was all around good. I ordered the hamburger steak with broccoli and hash brown casserole and an iced mocha latte. My meal had great flavor and was delicious. My iced mocha latte was delicious as well. The server was very nice, attentive and professional. The country store was decorated pretty with tons of beautiful merchandise as always.

The food was delicious and the store gets cutier everytime I visit. My problem tho is that my waitress was an elderly woman and I feel the tip we left won’t let her retire tomorrow. It hurts my spirit that our senior citizens are still working at an age older that 60. We should do more as a government besides push retirement age back. That is all, rant over.
