This place is really worth the wait! Don’t let the window vibe deceive you, this food packs a delicious, fresh, filling punch! You wait so long cus everyone is eating at Fred’s! From the BLT, to the burger and fries, to the fresh custard this food is absolutely satiating! Expect to wait an hour and receiving humble, pleasant service. Soooo yummy!

So I have heard the burgers and fries are amazing. I haven’t eaten the food here, but I know people who will definitely wait for their food. As for the custard though, the consistency is strange and I wouldn’t put it up there with the top custard in the area. So I may be back for the burger, but won’t go back for the custard.

really enjoyed the experience and will surely be back! cheeseburger with caramelized onion and bacon cheeseburger were both delicious. burgers are well sized and very juicy. fries were crispy and well seasoned. peanut butter milkshake was really good but not great.

They had my order ready quickly. Probably less than 5 minutes. I missed the bus for this and it was worth it for the Oreo churro shake, or whatever it was called. I will enjoy it while waiting for my next bus. The people who work here are also extremely nice.

Love that Fred’s is still serving the neighborhood after all these years! I grew up in the Heights and have fond memories of a walkable place to get a burger and custard. While not under the same ownership, Fred’s is still a favorite place of mine. The food is made to order and I PROMISE worth the wait! They employee local teens and provide a great place to learn skills and experience. Bring your dogs! They get treats too! Definitely recommend a stop.. eat your desert before your burger and enjoy a table with your neighbors!

Fred’s Drive-In is a great place with great food and great/friendly staff. Located on W. Vliet across the street from the NTF Police Station. Has a very unique feel to it, reminiscent of a 60’s style diner. The customers are good people, fun to talk with, and courteous. I’m cognizant of the fact that most people don’t want to be in photo’s. However in conversation with a customer I asked if he would be ok with being in a photo that will be on Google Maps. He agreed to my surprise. I had a fun time reviewing Fred’s Drive-In!

When we want a great burger we head over to Fred’s! This place never miss with their burgers fries and amazing cheese curds! . Me and my mother have been going to this place so long they know my mom by her name “Kim”. The customer service is a 10 out of 10. The staff even be nice enough to run our food out to our car . We can’t wait until the summer months roll around so we can come to Fred’s. PS: They also have the best strawberry malt.
