I went to Jefes by El Jaripeo for the first time today and was was very happy with the experience. They took over the old truck stop restaurant and completely renovated it to the point I don’t even recognize the inside as the old restauant!
I got a steak fajita and their horchata, both of which were amazing. My brother got a cheese steak quesadilla which he also loved, he got a margarita that was very strong so you definitely get your money’s worth. Portion sizes were pretty big overall, I have enough left over for a second meal.
The employees were all very kind and they gave great service.
I will definitely be coming back in the near future!

Great Mexican food… clean quality ingredients. Fresh chips and salsa- yum! House margaritas on the rocks were so good and complimented the burritos and enchiladas nicely! The horchata and flan were delicious too! Great people working hard to serve you. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to come back for more 🙂 Thank you!!

The service is friendly, attentive and fast. All delivered with a smile.
The chips and salsa are delivered and we’ve tried the bean dip too, it does not disappoint.

Never been here & it was disappointing. I got a steak burrito covered in cheese and it was actually pretty good. My partner got a vegetarian entree and he said it was absolutely terrible. We got free chips & salsa and ordered bean dip. The waiters were almost fighting for our table because they were sooo slow. Bean dip was good & came with cheese in it, but very expensive for the little portion you actually get. The chips didn’t get refilled. I wanted some avocado with my burrito and costed $6 for avocado! My dinner steak burrito entree is supposed to come with a side of rice and beans but our waiter charged us for an extra side of rice and beans. He charged us $6 for rice and beans which on the menu it states it already comes with a side of rice and beans… He didn’t remove it off the bill either. I think there was a bit of a language barrier, regardless we won’t be back.

Very friendly & attentive waitress. Big menu to choose from, tradition menu along with some American options like cheeseburgers. We didn’t wait too long for food. There was a little mix up with one of our orders but the waitress rectified the mistake, even though we weren’t expecting it. Which exceeded our expectations. Food was really good, fresh and portion sizes were big. Definitely had leftovers. Very fun atmosphere, staff also came to the table to sing happy birthday.

1st time visit from Milwaukee. It was a great experience. Food was fresh and arrived fast and hot. Rainbow margarita was a delicious addition. I had fajitas with ribs and bacon on them, which was something new for me…But it was delicious.

Had a great evening out with friends at Los Jaripeos in Oshkosh. I opted for a chicken taco salad which was very flavorful while a friend opted for enchiladas. She was impressed with them after recently having them someplace else-she felt these were even better! Great downtown option!
