I stopped by RigaTony’s Authentic Italian for lunch, and it felt like the kind of place you go when you want real comfort food and a moment to slow down. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I never felt rushed — just welcomed.
I built my own pasta bowl with rigatoni, meat sauce, and meatballs, and it honestly hit the spot. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the meat sauce rich and savory, and the meatballs were tender and full of flavor — the kind that reminds you of a home-cooked meal made with love.
The antipasto salad was fresh and satisfying, with a great mix of textures and bold flavors that balanced the meal beautifully. And the fresh bread? Soft, warm, and impossible to resist — perfect for soaking up every last bit of that delicious sauce.
Lunch here felt comforting, filling, and genuinely enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place in Tempe that serves authentic Italian flavors with a welcoming vibe, RigaTony’s is definitely worth the visit. I’ll be back.

I’ve been here quite a few times, so I think it’s time to leave a review. This review is based on my most recent visit.
My partner and I ordered Fried Ravioli, Fettuccine Alfredo, and the Eggplant Parmesan.
The Complimentary Bread is nice and soft on the inside, though almost a bit hard on the outside. It goes extremely well with their olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
The Strawberry Lemonade was quite sweet, but it had me wishing it was more tarty/sour, but nonetheless it was refreshing.
The Fried Ravioli was extremely savory, and the tomato cream pairs well with it. Though if you are looking for something with lots of flavor I’d recommend trying something else.
The Fettuccine Alfredo was perfectly al dente and creamy, and the herbs that was on top were very fresh.
The Eggplant Parmesan was much better than ones that I’ve had before. The sauce was very flavorful, though in my partners opinion the pasta wasn’t soft enough. They also stated that the texture of the eggplant wasn’t squishy or mushy, which that’s a good thing.
The service was great, the waiter stopped by periodically and asked if we needed anything or had any questions.
The atmosphere was good, the decor and the seating was great. Though it got quite loud in the restaurant, loud enough to where I didn’t even realize music was playing.
Overall my experience was pretty good, only “okay” thing was the fried ravioli and the lemonade. Would come again for a special occasion.

I’d driven by this place a bunch of times and always saw people waiting outside so I figured it must be good. Finally tried it and it was just okay. The space is nice, big inside with a patio, but we stayed in because of the heat. Got the complimentary salad and bread with olive oil to start. We ordered the Tuscan Grilled Salmon and Chianti Short Ribs. The salmon was pretty average and I’m not convinced it was wild caught. The topping helped but the fish itself was underwhelming. Risotto was decent though a bit oily. The short ribs were good but one of us didn’t feel great after, not sure what that was about. Drinks were hit or miss. The Sicilian Punch tasted like juice but The Godfather with the smoky flavor was solid. Service was fine, nothing special. I wanted to give it more but three stars feels right.

I was driving many times by this restaurant and I often saw people waiting outside. My first thought was that it must be so good. So I gave it a try. I have to say that although I wanted to give it more stars, I debated between 3 and 4, I stick with the 3. The place is pretty big inside and it also has a patio. Due to the heat, we preferred to stay inside. We got complimentary salad to share and bread and olive oil. We ordered Tuscan Grilled Salmon and Chianti Short Ribs. The fish taste was just ok, I am not sure if it was really Atlantic salmon or it was farmed. Luckily the mix that it was on top helped with the taste . The risotto was good on the other hand, although it had some extra oil as seen in the picture. The short ribs were pretty good, however, after the dinner one of us didn’t feel the best. I am not sure if it was not fresh or what.
We also ordered two drinks – a Sicilian Punch which honestly tasted more like a juice and a The Godfather which was actually really good , with a smoke taste.
The service was ok , nothing extraordinary, just basic .

4/5 stars. I’m glad we drove an hour for Rigatony! The flavor of the food was absolutely amazing, and the service was great. I ordered the Rigatony Tour, which came with a variety of dishes, including lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, meatballs, and chicken parmesan. Everything was delicious, but unfortunately, my food came out cold. Despite this, I’d definitely go back for another try. Maybe on my next birthday dinner, it’ll hit all the right notes!”

I just finished having lunch at RigaTony’s and I’m already trying to plan my next visit. This was my first time eating here. Everything was wonderful. We were a party of four. We received a warm welcome and prompt service. I was so happy to be in a restaurant that had character – warm decor, dark wood, a red tapestry, walls adorned with old photos and artwork. A pleasant respite from so many cheerless food chains. All four of us loved the food. We each had a different entree and no one was disappointed. The meatball I ate was the best I had ever had. Our waiter was professional and friendly. Everything was exceptional. Like I said, I can’t wait to return. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the food but I fell in love with this ‘Last Supper’ relief that rests over an archway near the entrance.

Walked in on a Thursday evening, no wait. Wow! First time and it hit the spot for pasta cravings.
Our server was fantastic, great customer service.
We got the clams for appetizer, Cajun pasta and seafood special.
The kids pizza is huge! The bread and salad are amazing. Think olive garden, but better.

The jambalaya pasta here is to die for! Every time I’ve come and I’ve been coming for the last three years I get the jambalaya pasta and I asked them to add garlic and mushrooms, and it is fantastic! I’ve never sat in the dining room area because I always just sit at the bar. Frankie is an awesome bartender and she’s been there forever so if you go to the bar, ask for Frankie! She also makes a #MIN apple martini! I highly recommend this place! Good food, good service good atmosphere. It doesn’t get better than that!
