I’ve been eyeing to try Kajiken ever since it opened up in Dublin and my BF and I finally stopped by for a weekday lunch. It’s located in the shopping center across from Emerald High School. Since it was a week day and we went when just when it opened for the day, the service was quick but I can see how easily the place can fill up during peak lunch and dinner hours.

Kajiken specializes in aburasoba, a soupless style of ramen where the flavor really comes from mixing everything together at the bottom of the bowl.

We started with our go-to appetizer: gyoza. The dumplings were filled with pork and vegetables and pan-fried nicely. The skin was thin with a good crisp on the bottom while still soft on top.

We both got the Nikumori Aburasoba which has spicy minced pork, pork slices, green onions and topped with a raw egg. Mixing everything together was honestly part of the fun. Once you break the egg and toss the noodles, they become perfectly coated in sauce. The noodles are thick and chewy, and they really hold onto all the flavor. It’s rich, savory, and slightly spicy without being overwhelming. When I finished my noodles and still had some pork leftover. They offer a complimentary bowl of rice, which was perfect for soaking up every last bit of flavor. The bowl was super filling and I ended up taking a small portion as leftovers (which was super delicious when I reheated it the next day)

Kajiken is an amazing addition to Dublin and it’s worth it to try it out. I’m happy I live close by and I’m definitely going to return!

The food here at Kajiken is pretty good! Their menu isn’t big, which is a good sign. Their dishes are simple yet tasty. I really enjoyed the homura aburasoba. I ordered it without the fish powder. I normally don’t eat raw egg yolks but decided to order it here. It definitely adds a nice touch to the dish. The noodles are nice and chewy. The flavor is also rich and has depth. I have also ordered the soboro, which is also good. It is definitely a safer choice if you don’t like stronger flavors. Both are good, however I did enjoy the homura better. Service is nice and helpful. The restaurant does get crowded at times. Overall, a good experience.

Excellent soupless noodles. Started with ika keso and then tried variety of noodles. Spice level was good, not spicy at all. Noodles cooked to perfection with a little bite (al dente)
Nice that they give option of soft boiled egg if you don’t want raw yolk

Great ambience and filling portion

Grand opening for this Dublin location! This Japanese restaurant started in 2010 in Nagoya, Japan. This is soupless ramen, which almost tastes like a Japanese pasta dish. I recommend the Homura aburasoba spicy minced pork, green onions, bamboo shoots, seaweed, fish powder, chives and raw egg yolk! The original aburasoba is recommended for new, less adventurous guests. Their oroshi ponzu karaage is one the best Japanese fried chicken dishes. I also love their hiyayakko cold tofu.

It was pretty good. The food was flavorful. There wasn’t much soup. When you think of ramen you’re expecting some sort of broth. The presentation was nice. The added spring egg was nice, just expectedly cold. It had a nice ambiance. The Karage was good too. I would consider coming back.

I had a wonderful experience at Kajiken Ramen. The environment is clean, cozy, and welcoming—perfect for a casual meal or a quick lunch. The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made sure everything arrived quickly.

The food quality was excellent as well. The ramen was flavorful, well-balanced, and served piping hot. Ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were just right. Overall, a very satisfying meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!

So happy that Kajiken has finally opened in the East Bay! I went during lunch on a weekday and was greeted by the most welcoming staff! They sat us immediately and provided us water/tea and were very attentive throughout the meal.

I’ve eaten at Kajiken many times and can confidently say the food is as good, if not, better than the other locations. The oroshi ponzu karaage was flavorful and juicy, and the wagyu roast beef aburasoba was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this spot and will definitely return often!

Kajiken never disappoints! We ordered the top 1 and it’s absolutely incredible! The flavor is rich, savory and super satisfying. Truly addictive!

We also tried the original karage and fried squid legs and they were amazing. Crispy, juicy and perfect with the dipping sauce. Honestly every dish was spot-on.

10/10 would slurp again!

first time experience here today. the shop was not that busy. i came with my daughter, just the two of us. nobody else was waiting. we saw there were two bar – seats available and one table with four seats. the lady who greeted us offered us to sit on bar – seats and i said that i preferred table. she said nothing was available and i pointed out the table with four seats. she told me that the table was for large group only since we only came just the two of us. i saw a table with two people who were done eating and pointed out to her. she asked again: ok with you to wait??? and i said: yes…

after we sat and ordered, some parties came and almost all of them just two people in a party. weird thing happened, the lady who sat us before gave a party with two people sat on the table with four seats, the exact table that i asked her before which she said could not!!! my question: how could she do that but not to me??? really curious why???

anyway, ordered homura aburasoba and wagyu roast beef aburasoba. for me: quantity is quite a lot and price is reasonable. love the menma or bamboo shoots. overall aburasoba taste is just ok or mediocre. thank you to ‘mako’ who served us well, attentive, and kind during dinner time. thank you for offering hot water and hot tea, really warm our hearts after facing bad experience with greeter lady. five stars only for ‘mako’ but i think overall, i would like to give three stars…
