We had an absolutely amazing night here on Christmas Eve! The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas — the festive décor created such a warm, magical atmosphere that instantly put us in the holiday spirit. The vibe was incredible, cozy, and full of joyful energy.

I visited Oscar Wilde with my family to celebrate my birthday which happened to be on Thanksgiving. We had a reservation, and I arrived first, but they wouldn’t seat us until the entire party arrived. We also needed a low table because one member of our group used a cane. They had very few low tables available, and even though we arrived early, the only one left was next to a loud machine (possibly an ice maker) that made noise throughout our stay. We ordered from the main menu instead of the Thanksgiving prix fixe. For appetizers, we shared crispy calamari, chicken dumplings, and buffalo cauliflower. The calamari was too dry, and portions overall were small for sharing. For our mains, I had the chicken sandwich, my son and friend chose cheeseburgers (my son also ordered truffle fries), my daughter-in-law had fish and chips, and her mother ordered brussel sprouts, the only vegetarian dish they had. I also tried a Bad Santa cocktail, but the drink was too expensive for the size, and I was not impressed with the taste. At the end of the meal, they brought a small slice of chocolate mousse cake with a candle for my birthday. It was delicious and melted in the mouth, but the portion was extremely small. For a special occasion, a slightly more generous gesture would have been appreciated – though I understand every restaurant handles birthdays differently.

I went with a girlfriend of mine for Afternoon Tea. The Tea Service was so beautiful and chic! It was a very snowy day in NYC, and the restaurant was so cozy and inviting! Everyone was so wonderful. Elian was so friendly and started us off with some tea. Maxine was the best, she took such great care of us and we honestly felt like we were saying goodbye to longtime friends by the time we were leaving! 10/10! This is a must-visit destination in NYC! Bonus points because the Victorian decor is so beautiful too.

I visited Oscar Wilde, a very TikTok-famous place. The interior is beautiful and very festive, with lots of decor, maybe even a bit too much, but it’s fun to look around and take photos. The hallway and old mirrors are especially atmospheric, and there’s a photo spot as well.
We were seated at a very small table, and the chair was uncomfortable. Food was a disappointment for me. I ordered fish and chips and didn’t like it at all, the fish, fries, and sauces just weren’t good. I asked for a Coke without ice a few times, but it still came with ice. I didn’t say anything and just accepted it. Dessert (chocolate mousse with ice cream) was okay, nothing special.
Service was very good and attentive. Overall, I’d recommend this place more for the atmosphere and photos than for the food, especially during the holidays.

I have gone here twice this December, and I absolutely love it! The servers are so friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is so festive, and the drink menu is very fun! The first time I went, we ordered the mimosa package. For our second round, we were able to switch the orange juice for peach, which was definitely the right choice. All the cocktails are creative and festive- the only one I would steer clear of would be the Grinch (just not my preference). I loved the lychee martini too. The first time I went, I went for brunch. I ordered the avocado toast. However, I feel like I enjoyed the menu more when I went a second time for dinner. The gnocchi was very creamy; however, I paired it with a friend’s order of roasted chicken- I feel like the pasta dish lacked protein. The DJ had a variety of different music, and we even got to take a picture with the Grinch! My one warning would be that it is very loud and crowded. Regardless, it is such a great place to spend the holidays with your friends! I will be coming back next October to check out the Halloween cocktail menu!

The atmosphere is fantastic, if you’re looking for a unique restaurant in NYC. The calamari was ok, it’s a small portion to share. The wagyu burger is really good had a good rat flavor but the gnocchi was a little bland. Drinks were great we opted for mocktails, we got the Florence Welch and the Brandon flowers. Our server kept forgetting about us, so we had to flag down the other staff for help. We also had to walk around to find her in order to get the bill. The deserts.were also good, we had the bread pudding. Just keep in mind the music is a bit loud so you’ll have to speak up when chatting with your party. Other than that, it was a great place to try if you’re in the city.

Went here twice on our trip. First night the entire bar was decked out in Halloween decor! It was so creatively decorated for the holidays! The history of the building was displayed very elegantly and this bar portrays Oscar Wilde’s story well.
Next night we were there: no halloween decor! It was amazing how quickly they were able to completely transform the bar overnight! Had the truffle fries and an espresso martini which were both divine! Definitely excited to see this bar during the winter holidays!!

• Classic Caesar Salad – Baby gem lettuce, sourdough croutons, shaved parmesan, and a perfectly balanced dressing.
• Wilde Wagyu Bacon Cheeseburger – Juicy 8 oz patty on a brioche bun with bacon and classic toppings—comfort food done right.

The sausage had a nice char, and my buttermilk chicken and waffle was juicy inside and delicious with syrup (approx $25 each for brunch entrees)
I also appreciated the themed bathrooms — they even use petal foot pedals to flush, which is so much more sanitary. Overall, a charming spot for holiday brunch and a great place to return to as the décor changes throughout the year.
