wow!! this place is so delicious. My boyfriend and I were out of town for the weekend and we heard good things about this Thai food place. I have to say this was the best Thai food I have ever tried and we are from the Long Island NY area. Super fresh, lots of flavor and so delicious . My boyfriend had the chicken pad Thai, I had the pad see ew and we also had the Vietnamese spring rolls as an app. 10/10 RECOMMEND!

My first time eating here and everything was perfect except for my main course. I got the pad Thai with chicken, no shrimp. The appetizers were great and so was the soup “Tom Kar” it was a coconut based.

I’ve ordered pad Thai at 2 other restaurants before and one time I ordered it with beef and the beef tasted weird. Like it was way past its prime so the next time I had it with chicken and the chicken tasted off too. Maybe it’s the way it was cooked but I told myself next time I have it I will have it with just veggies.

This time when I ordered it at this restaurant they had shrimp or chicken as an option and since I don’t eat shrimp I chose chicken, even though I had planned on just asking for a veggie dish I decided to take a chance on it. Unfortunately, the chicken tasted off to me again, kinda metallic so I wasn’t pleased but it wasn’t awful. I took it to go, Since I was full anyway and I assumed what are the chances it’s bad meat for the third time. Maybe that’s just how it’s supposed to taste but I wasn’t impressed.

All in all it was a good experience so that’s why the 4 star rating but next time I guess I really will just have it with just veggies.

Oh my goodness,… the best coconut shrimp soup I have ever had! One of a kind, custom creation. If you like a pinch of curry with a perfect blend of coconut and shrimp, this is a must on your order. Next, Panang Curry. We asked if we could get it mild and the chef, probably the mom, mixed it perfectly for us. Highly recommend you treat yourself to a delicious meal.

I used to live right next door to Vong’s- I’d get take out at least once a week and never got sick of it. Since I’ve moved, I’ll still drive almost an hour just to get it. Their pad thai is the best I’ve ever had, and their drunken noodles are the super wide flat noodles (you can tell they’re fresh). Very large portions too. So happy that they’re doing dine in again!

The food was okay. The service was interesting. They do not have waiters or waitresses but instead it is takeout only, except they let you sit in the lobby. I get it, every restaurant has struggled since COVID and finding good staff to serve customers must be a nightmare. The people we did interact with were very nice.

I feel so bad, we just bought two duck tamarine meals and it was very bad looking. It tasted terrible with this somewhat aromatic strong scent and old. It was very gamey and had so much fatty parts in it. It was served hot at least. The tamarine sauce looks thick and greasy yet it had a low viscosity. It tastes bland too. It was sour and kind of in a thick watery with brown fluid with fresh chopped veggies. It looks plastic on top because of the fatty oils. At least the veggies were fresh. I spent $40.

You must give this place a try. We decided to check them out while in town and Vongs did not disappoint. Everything from the service to the atmosphere was great. The menu has a wide selection for anyone in your party to choose from. The restaurant was clean and seemed well kept. Portions are very generous. I will definitely be going back when I’m in town again.

Large lunch specials however the signature Thai dish we’ve had was very greasy and it did not have this authentic taste.. Perhaps no fish sauce was used in preparation… Red curry was little bland and too spicy…

As of 3/23/2021, this restaurant is takeout only. We ordered the calamari and summer roll. Both were delicious. Their summer roll is slightly different from what I was used to. But, I was pleasantly surprised. There were finely julienned carrots, daikon plus red lettuce and shrimp of course, making the dish very presentable.

Vong’s has been on our regular takeout rotation for years. The Tom Yum noodle soup is to die for and is enough for two or for lunch the next day. We haven’t yet ordered anything on the menu that wasn’t delicious, and we get the Vietnamese spring rolls with every order—they’re impossible to resist.
