I’m giving this place a solid five stars because the value and the atmosphere are truly top-notch. My only real gripe is the mandatory side dish policy; I’d prefer the freedom to order a steak as a standalone mission without the rice and vegetable escort. Sometimes a man just wants the protein without the filler.
The building is well-maintained and the “vibe” was spot on—every table was occupied, yet it felt spacious enough for a real conversation. I also wouldn’t worry too much about the menu’s warning regarding a fee for leftover food. We left a bit behind and weren’t charged a dime; it seems they only enforce that rule for the truly wasteful, which I respect. Finally, a huge thank you to our waitress. She was incredibly kind and patient, ensuring our order was handled perfectly despite a slight language barrier. It’s rare to find that level of genuine service these days.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Mr. Tokyo in Greensburg. When we arrived, there was literally only one spot in the parking lot. Despite how packed it was, (very busy) we were seated immediately. Know this, there are a LOT of people inside. The staff was friendly and everyone around us was nice. However, there were a significant wait period between every order with the All You Can Eat portion. My table ordered an apple drink, the gyoza which came with 3 pieces, the pepper tuna which also came with 3 pieces, 7 sushi rolls, 6 pieces of sashimi, and a plate of hibachi. The total came to about $100 after tip for a table of 3. We spent a total of around an hour and a half actually in the restaurant and it was an overall pleasant experience. I will be returning!

This place is worth every cent. At the time of writing it cost $24.99 for all you can eat sushi (standard and specialty) rolls. Upcharge of just a buck to get a whole hibachi dinner additionally. If you’ve bought rolls elsewhere you know how good of a deal this is. And of course I wouldn’t have bothered with a review of the food was bad; it was very good!

The all you can eat sushi is definitely worth the price. The rolls are full size and delicious. My daughter has celiac disease and even during a very busy night the manager came over and showed us each item she could have and spoke about how they will prepare her food separately with GF soy sauce. The waiter was also very nice and patient while we worked through the large menu trying to decide what roll to get. We will definitely be back!

It’s already hard to find good sushi in this area—and even in the surrounding areas—so I went in with realistic expectations. Unfortunately, this was hands down the worst sushi experience I’ve ever had.

The mixed drink I ordered was genuinely awful, easily the worst mixed drink I’ve ever been served. The wasabi was equally bad: dry, lumpy, and completely lacking flavor. The sushi itself was subpar at best, nothing fresh or memorable.

But the worst part? They charge a fee per piece if you don’t finish all of your sushi—even if you’re not taking it home. That feels completely ridiculous. I could maybe understand a policy like that if food was being wasted and taken to-go, but charging customers just for not finishing every bite at the table is absurd.

On top of all that, the service was horrible. Overall, it was absolutely not worth the trip. I will definitely not be returning.

It was amazing. There was so much seating but didn’t feel packed. It is ALL YOU CAN EAT everything was so good. So many options and they tell you if there is an up charge. They have small sake for 5$ and it was so many shots.

No wait time. Seated as soon as we got there. Friendly section. Great presentation when bringing the food. Delicious to the very end. I definitely recommend Mr. Tokyo

The sushi is not prepared as shown on the menu. Everything comes with so-called Yum Yum sauce. I personally hate the stuff and especially so when it isn’t indicated in the menu photos or text. This has happened every time I have visited Mr. Tokyo. The amount of rice used in the sushi is probably twice or more than anything I’ve had in many years of eating the stuff. Why? Simple. Customers get full much faster that way and won’t be able to enjoy multiple sushi rolls on their all-you-can-eat menu.

But after today’s visit, there won’t be another. One of the cooks was in a stall next to me. I knew it was one of the staff because he watched something in Chinese on his phone while he did his business and there were no Asian customers at that time. Upon completion, he went to the sink, ran water for 2-3 seconds and left. I would’ve heard the soap dispenser if he’d used it. He did not. I think the bit of water was just for my benefit. No hand dryer either. He DEFINITELY did not wash his hands before returning to prepare food. Disgusting. Eat at Mr. Tokyo at your own risk.

JUST GO TO EDO OR ROBOYKO AND SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. We ordered tuna rolls and a few other rolls — they were not busy whatsoever for a Friday night. Get home and the order is completely wrong. Call them immediately and they first say to come and get it replaced and then I asked for my refund as well since my dinner will now be cold and I have to drive 40 minutes round trip to get my correct order. She then says the “kitchen is closed” and there’s nothing she can do. So I’m waiting on my “imaginary refund” and will NEVER do business with them again. They give the wrong food and you’re just supposed to deal with it. HORRIBLE business. Just go to Edo or Roboyko. I’m sure they’ll close down and become a MedExpress again in no time.
