Great value for money and excellent pasta!
We visited during the off-season and didn’t need a reservation, even on a weekend, but I’d definitely recommend booking one during peak season. While the food was great, the service was a bit disappointing. The staff speaks English, but the vibe was quite cold. The chairs are also very uncomfortable. If you’re just looking for a quick, tasty meal rather than a long, cozy evening, it’s a good choice.

We booked this restaurant well in advance from the UK before our five nights in Rome, not knowing how busy November might be. From the outset, the communication was reassuring—prompt confirmations via WhatsApp and email gave us confidence that we were in good hands.
Arriving early in the evening, long before the locals sit down to dine, we found the place already lively and well staffed. On this occasion we chose to sit inside, and it proved a very pleasant choice.
Service was attentive without being intrusive, and dishes arrived quickly. We sampled the battered cod, seafood baked in foil, calamari, and a special ragu from the board—all beautifully presented and full of flavour. Portions were generous, and the drinks list was equally impressive.
The staff added to the experience, encouraging me to try out my Italian and kindly correcting me with good humour. It’s those small touches that make a meal memorable.
All in all, this was one of those restaurants you’re glad you booked ahead. We left wishing we’d returned during our stay, and next time in Rome we certainly will.

I liked it, I recommend it! Fast service, friendly staff. I had a delicious lasagna and a rainbow tiramisu that melted in my mouth. And to start with, I had some delicious potatoes with Parmesan cheese and the classic appetizer with blue cheese, prosciutto, and salami, all of which were good and tasty.

Absolutely loved this Italian restaurant’s spicy seafood pasta — a solid 10/10.

• The dish was generously packed with clams, mussels, and tiger prawns, all coated in a rich, spicy tomato-based sauce.
• It’s not the typical al dente pasta most people expect, but since I prefer softer pasta, it was perfect for me.

I’d also recommend the veal dish. The meat was tender and lighter in flavour than beef (almost closer to pork). That said, if you’re looking to save some money, ordering two pasta dishes might be a better option.

To top it off, the waiter kindly offered us a glass of cherry wine for our Christmas dinner — such a warm and hospitable touch.

There was no coperto charge, and the total came to just $52 for two people, which is great value if you’re looking for an affordable yet delicious Italian meal.

We came here twice within 2 years. We ordered the tripes, milanese (fried chicken breasts), seafood pot and beef rolls as the main dishes, and they were pretty good. Our desserts, panna cotta and passion fruit cheesecake were both great. However, the appetizer fried zucchini was cold and oily, which I won’t recommend. Ceaser salad and eggplants millifoglie were just okay. The staff were very friendly.

For our last dinner before leaving for our sweet home, we finally tried pizza in Rome. We also order a mixed seafood platter and others. This place didn’t disappoint us. Every dish was good. It can get busy during peak meal time so an advanced reservation is recommended.

This is an Italian restaurant that is highly recommended. From the photos of different eras on the wall, you can see the changes in the center of Rome, such as the appearance of Castel Sant’Angelo in the past and the conditions of ordinary people’s homes in the past. As for the quality of the food, I think it is very good! The taste is just right and the sauce is rich. I especially recommend their seafood platter, which is very good and delicious. In addition, the staff are also very friendly and helpful

Amazing pizza. Had rice balls to start which were also lovely. Staff were nice and we got given cherry, almond red wine shots for free with the bill. A lovely place, left feeling very full.

We did have a wait to be seated but it was an ideal table and worth it; we and other guests were not on top of one another. The terrace was well-lit with live music but we watched as several diners on the very edge were approached by street vendors.

We had two pastas: rigatoni gricia and spaghetti alla vongole and the saltimbocca. We also added an amazing Greek salad. This was plenty of dinner for two adults and two tweens. While nice, the meal did not stand out for us against other Roman cuisine. We ordered tiramisu since so many other tables had it: unremarkable, and could be passed on.

Toilets downstairs were tidy.

We ordered gluten-free pasta and some starters, though unfortunately, the restaurant doesn’t offer gluten-free pizza. We tried the lasagna, fettuccine with pesto and shrimp, and the parmigiana — all were delicious and well-prepared.

The staff were very knowledgeable about gluten allergies, reassured us about avoiding cross-contamination, and were also extremely friendly and attentive throughout the meal.

Overall, a great experience for anyone looking for safe and tasty gluten-free options.
