Excellent night! Went out to dinner with my husband and his parents for his birthday. Being the day after Valentine’s Day and a weekend, the kitchen was out of a lot of things. But they were super cool in offering upgraded items in replacement of the items that we wanted. Our table ordered the special, the sea bass. We also ordered the filet mignon with crab jasmine rice. The other two meals were fish and shrimp, though I’m blanking on the exact names. The sweet potato pecan pie was strangely good! We were a little sceptical having only tried these pies separately all our lives but it is an exceptional combination. Everyone enjoyed their food. Staff was incredible. Atmosphere was sublime!

My partner and I come to this Pappadeaux all the time ever since he brought me here for the first time, and it has honestly become our go-to spot for every celebration. Birthdays, special moments, anything we’re excited about, we always end up here because it never disappoints ✨
This time we came to celebrate my birthday, and it was amazing as always. We were lucky enough to have Chris as our server again, and I genuinely can’t say enough good things about him. We had him a few months ago and remembered how great he was, and he was just as incredible this visit. He’s super attentive, very sweet, check’s in at the perfect times, is so friendly and easy to talk to, and honestly makes the whole dining experience even better. Even just him bringing our food out to the table makes the night feel more special
The restaurant itself is always a standout clean, welcoming, and well taken care of. The staff does an awesome job keeping everything spotless, including the bathrooms, which were very clean too. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and you can tell the team really cares about guests having a great time.
And I have to say… if you come here you HAVE to get the Shrimp & Crawfish Fondeaux! We literally order it every single time as our appetizer and it somehow gets even more delicious every visit. The food always comes out hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here.
Also.. another thing I always recommend is their strawberry lemonade. I’m a huge strawberry lemonade fan and I order it everywhere I go, and I can confidently say theirs is one of the best. You can actually taste both the lemonade and the strawberry, not that gross strawberry syrup that most places use and neither one overpowers the other, the flavors are balanced perfectly. If you’re into lemonade, it’s 100% a must-try!!
I definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you’re coming on a weekend or around dinner time. We went on a Monday around 7:30 PM and it was already a little busy inside. We made a reservation less than an hour before, just in case, and we got seated right away. Even with it being busy, the noise level was perfect, you can actually talk to the person you’re with and hear them clearly, which makes the experience so much better.
We’ll definitely keep coming back, as we usually do! This restaurant is one of our favorites and always makes our celebrations feel perfect and special

Our server Kesha was top-notch. She gave recommendations for food and drinks, she was friendly attentive and gave off that she really enjoyed what she does and where she’s doing it. I’d definitely ask to sit in her section the next time I’m here. Try the pineapple refresher, the Espresso Martini, passion fruit lemon drop, and the fork and knife Cobb. All of the food was good but I had the salad.

My service here was a 10/10. I sat at the bar with my friends for this experience. My server was Kendall and boy he makes the best Pina Coladas. I’m from the Caribbean and it tasted just like home. His customer service was really great and he was so kind. I ordered the Wild – Caught Snapper & Shrimp with broccoli and it was really good. I will be coming here for my Birthday. I’m looking forward to this experience again.

I took my son’s here while we were in town for a game; I had wanted to take them for some time for good seafood. It is always going to be a bit spendy but the quality is generally the same at any of the pappas restaurants and this did not fail to meet that standard. Great service, knowledgeable server, knew the menu like the back of his hand and when asked for a recommendation it was personalized down to how busy they were and the food was delicious….so why 4 stars….
This no longer feels like a lousianna restaurant. Gone are the seafood boils, frog legs and snails. Now there is gator but it tastes closer to a Asian Mexican fusion than anything. This now just seams like a seafood restaurant… You may ask is that not a bad thing? No per day, but the pappa brands were always based on their specific culinary niche and I wanted to give my kids some great and adventurous dishes from lousianna and found little of it on the menu anymore. Sad. I may come to a pappaduex again… But thats barely a maybe now, kind of sad

Absolutely love this Pappadeaux location on Research Blvd! My meal originally came out a little on the salty side, but the manager, Grant, went above and beyond to make it right. His professionalism and top-notch customer service were truly impressive — he immediately had my dish remade and even offered me a delicious salad to enjoy while I waited. That kind of care and attention is rare these days!
I also want to shout out my bartender, Anna, who was incredibly sweet, kind, and attentive the entire time. The combination of great food, amazing service, and such genuine hospitality keeps me coming back. This location truly knows how to take care of their guests — I’ll definitely be returning again and again!

The service was excellent and accommodating to our large party so kind and patient as we enjoyed family from other towns to gather and celebrate a birthday. The food was great and even though we had one issue with a meal, the manager took care and really meant alot that they listened. We really enjoyed our dinner here and highly recommend it. The new hot honey gator bites were AMAZING !! There is a beautiful fountain outside perfect for after dinner mode.

My husband and I came over to this location after being so disappointed by the location on North Hwy 35.
We were immediately greeted by Aymen, he was absolutely wonderful and provided as drinks and menus so quickly. His shift ended shortly after we arrived and we were then taking care of by Daniella who was also wonderful! They completely catered to us and made sure our drinks were full, our food was good, and we were enjoying our time. We later greeted by Grant who is the manager and he was also very kind and welcoming. We will come back to this location every single time instead of any other location in Austin. The food was also exemplary!
