Great food and great service. Lots of choices for everyone so you don’t have to just order sushi. Nice and polite. Good flavor. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Will come back to try their lunch menu. Had to adjust the review as follow up visit did not meet the same expectations as the previous visit. Service dropped and cost was more expensive.

Thanks to the other reviewers for rating this place so highly because it got us to try it out and the reviews are true – some of the best sushi around. They have a ton of appetizers, which are great to share with your group. Their soups are outstanding. They have a sake flight which is unique and tasty. For non-drinkers, they have a ton of hot teas to choose from.
All of the sushi I’ve had there so far on my four trips had been incredible. Beautifully presented, and the sashimi and the cooked sushi rolls are all fantastic. Their menu is massive, so it gives me plenty of opportunities to try out more of their delicious food!

Absolutely loved the sushi here! The waiter was super kind to us, plenty of seating, clean, and absolutely mouth watering food. Get the asparagus, avocado, and the cooked California rolls, those were amazing with flavor! The pineapple and chicken fried rice was also delicious as well as the edamame. The mochi was also very good. I also really liked the chill atmosphere of this place. Overall, highly recommend this place for sushi!

My first time eating here and it lived up to my expectations. The 3 for $14.50 lunch special sushi rolls were all excellent! My buddy & I got 3 each to try out. All were delicious and you could taste the freshness. We topped it off with the Japanese Stir Fry of chicken & shrimp on top of fresh steamed veggies over teriyaki sauce. Again, just delicious! Plate comes sizzling hot and the presentation was great. Plenty of chicken and shrimp. It comes with your choice of rice and salad or soup.
Hostess was very pleasant. I asked to sit in the quieter bar section where the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.

Andy, Na and the entire team are such amazing people! And that’s just the beginning. I’ve been here several times lately, and I can’t stop coming back!!! The food is amazing! I could go on and on with details… but too much to mention. You won’t be disappointed! (My favorite is the shrimp Shumai…it is amazing….and the sushi fresh off the boat and expertly prepared. And I don’t have room here to go through the entire menu….

Unfortunately the best thing about our entire experience here was the Japanese soda Ramune. If you do ever choose to come here I’d highly recommend you getting it. It was really fun and you’ll understand why if you do. Overall though I came here for sushi and was not impressed with the quality of what we experienced. The prices were very good. Food was well presented. Everyone was beyond kind and the service was good and fast. Just didn’t think the food was very good.

Ordered the hibachi and it had absolutely no taste. Big portion size but very bland from soup, salad to the meal. Have to pay extra for any sauce and that still didn’t give much taste. Service was great though.

Not impressed wasn’t that busy, there were only us and another guests. Yet it took more than 15 minutes to get order in. We opted for big assorted sushi dish. they tried to fancy it up with fake flowers but I would rather have a fresh sushi. They were Luke warm which is little alarming for safety reasons . No I won’t be coming back. It’s a shame, it is so close to my new home but I rather find a place that will serve fresh sushi.

Andy (the owner) is particular about the food and service at Chakara. I have often been to Chakara for take-out and dine-in, and I have never had a bad cocktail or food. My favorite cocktail is a dirty martini. My mother loves the sautéed noodles, and I love all the menu items.
They recently had a shipment of Uni (Sea Urchin), which was amazing. I hope the restaurant gets another shipment soon! I have posted this pictures of the uni and other sushi dishes I have had. My photos do not do the food justice!
