The food is absolutely delicious! Everything tastes homemade, fresh, and full of love. Their food is cooked to perfection, and the portions are generous without being overdone. The fried chicken is crispy and seasoned just right, and the sides taste like something straight from Grandma’s kitchen. You can tell the chefs take pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen.
Service is quick, friendly, and attentive; everyone here treats you like family. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food, warm service, and a genuine community feel, but Bevelle Family Café does it effortlessly.
If you’re anywhere near Pelham, this café is a must-visit. Whether you’re craving comfort food or just a comfortable place to sit and enjoy good company, Bevelle Family Café delivers every time. Highly recommended!
Some of the best food I have ever eaten, absolutely delicious, highly recommend even if the thought of going to these places to spend your money scares you like it used to me, just give these guys a chance, be open to explore, you won’t regret it. Very friendly vibes in there too which is always nice. I have tried a couple since my breakthrough to make sure and this place is still leagues ahead in flavors.
The day of the event came and they had the food ready as promised it was absolutely delicious. They even did this little extra things that people forget these days.
This is a true Southern restaurant with Southern manners in good ole southern cooking. They are now on our “must use” list for wonderful caterer’s.
I walk in and accidentally go to the checkout area (my first time there) and an older bald man is there. I say “hi, how are you?” And I greeted with a smile. They say, “alright.” There’s a pause and I say “.. that’s.. good..” and then they say “do you have a pick up or something?” I said, “I’d actually like to order” and the man points and says, “it’s over there.” I thought that was extremely rude. He didn’t smile one time either.
I go over and am greeted with a brief smile from two ladies. I’m optimistic that this will be a better experience and smile back and ask how they are. I have orders from my family so I’m looking at my phone, stuttering, and fumbling through. I’m already anxious from that first reaction. The ladies are just looking straight down and looked bored or annoyed? I couldn’t tell, but they were rushing to get it packed up and done. One asked if I wanted gravy on something. I was pausing to process and think. Before I knew it they poured gravy on it. Not even 10 seconds had passed.. I mean, we’re not picky, but I felt so rushed and felt like I was bothering them so much.
I was going order 3 plates (2 for family, one for myself), I ended up just telling them only 2 because I was overwhelmed. I ended up leaving so overwhelmed and crying.
My family member is in the hospital and I was gonna pick up food for us. I’m so overwhelmed and naturally anxious. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me emotionally. I’m disappointed because this was a home cooking type of place. I had a extremely disappointing experience and probably won’t be back..
I try my best to smile and be kind to people. You never know what someone is going through. Please be kind. I know it’s hard out here.
I’ll change my review if I ever go back and have a positive experience.
