The food was really good. However, if you are sensitive to spicy food, make sure you go with the mild instead of a medium.
I had the basil fried rice and yellow Curry. My mother had the crispy garlic chicken. Tens across the board.
I highly recommend the vegetable Curry Puffs. Those were so delicious.
The food came out really fast and was packed with flavor. The spice levels were perfect and the portions were just right (I even split mine with my sister and we were both full). I ordered the panang curry with tofu and the tofu was cooked perfectly, super soft inside and flavorful. The rice was also really soft and fresh.
We started with the shrimp tempura and tom kha soup with shrimp and both were really really good. The drinks were also very flavorful and refreshing.
Overall the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing and the whole meal felt very enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
Came in today for a Thai craving and Arun Thai Kitchen did not disappoint. This is a hidden gem in Sugar Land. If you’re a fan of Nua Thai downtown this is your go to spot in the suburbs! Service was excellent and all the staff were so kind.
We had the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) and Red Curry. I enjoyed both and would come back especially for the Pad Kee Mao. It was so flavorful and delicious! If their drunken noodles were this good I’m sure their Pad Thai would be too. Definitely next on the to try list of dishes when I come back.
For drinks, we ordered Thai Tea, Brown Sugar Boba, Thai Green Milk Tea, and Butterfly Milk Tea. We loved the colors, flavors, and richness of the drinks as well as the kawaii cup seals. We also loved the shapes and design of the plates; they were gorgeous and very authentic. For appetizers, we got crispy veggie rolls, Chicken Satay, and Fried Dumplings. All of our appetizers were delicious, but we had mixed opinions about the ginger sauce that comes with the fried dumpling, it was a bit too salty for our taste. As far as entrees, we ordered Pad Thai, Pad Woon Sen, Pad Kee Mao, Crispy Garlic Chicken and the Mince Beef Basil Bowl. We enjoyed all of our entrees but felt that the Crispy Garlic Chicken was lacking garlic. Additionally we ordered Coconut Sticky Rice and the Sweet Roti. While these deserts are good, they aren’t very sweet.
Beyond our food, we loved the versatility of the menu and how it was able to accommodate to Halal and vegetarian dietary restrictions. We also loved the restaurant’s authentic feel, admiring the plating of our food and the pictures on the wall. Even though the restaurant was on the pricier side, we would absolutely return!
We ordered the chicken and rice kids meal, creamy tom yum soup, lemongrass chicken, beef stir fry, and a butterfly milk tea.
This is a regular spot for my family.
