I honestly don’t know how yesterday was my first time at Underground Pub—but it definitely won’t be my last.
Cindy behind the bar? Total vibe. Fun, friendly, and made me feel like I’d been a regular for years. It was the perfect post-brunch pit stop… dimly lit, great music, and strong-ass drinks.
Speaking of drinks: I (okay, Cindy did) found my new go-to dive bar cocktail—vodka, soda, splash of cranberry and a splash of pineapple. You know what they say about pineapple… wink.
The food looked way better than you’d expect from a neighborhood pub—next time, I’m absolutely trying it.
Cheap. Sexy. Strong. Just how I like my cocktails and my dive bars.
Already plotting my return, Underground.

Some friends told me about this place and I was not disappointed. Cool place with darts and pool tables and the drinks were good. It was super crowded right before Christmas though, so I’ll be back in a less busy time.

Consistent with delicious food, drinks and service! And whenever I ask for extra this, extra that or request any specific change to the menu description, the wait staff/bartenders graciously (and correctly) amend the order. Food is always delivered hot with silverware and a smile. Enjoying the Philly cheesesteak with lots of items included, like sweet peppers mushrooms onions…, I tried the spicy slaw and loved it. Next time I’m going to ask for double the slaw or get some extra to go, as it was uniquely delicious with a zest. There’s obviously positive leadership by the owners, and I have noticed improvements since Duff became GM. Personally working in an essential business, I thought it was extra special that both the GM and bartender had received both vaccinations. and all staff were wearing masks; I felt safe. With the (also consistent) friendliness, positivity and professionalism of Troy, I look forward to returning and receiving that same A+ service and food quality. A locally owned, well-run small business that everyone should support!

Great place, almost a hidden gem of a bar! Likes the “games” ( shuffle board, 3 dart boards, pool table, etc) and the friendly bartenders. Young crowd vibe. Can get crowded on weekends!

Lots of monitors with various college games…but should have been UCONN basketball on one of the big monitors (we were able to get our game on a small monitor at our table). Lots of young locals playing pool and darts.

Delicious food (both pub grub and a few healthy options!), pool tables, dart boards, lots of screens for sports; younger crowd and younger staff; great space. Check out their salmon salad, the hot wings, and loaded fries! p.s. they also make Hot Toddies

Spacious modern hip bar with plenty games and TVs. There are a couple pool tables and a few dart boards. Long bar with a good amount of seats and a variety of liquor.

I just want to start off by saying all of us work as bartenders. The drinks we got and the hat we ordered tasted like two different cuisines. A Long Island that tasted like nutmeg and when we tried to return it the bartender said “we were too drunk to know” RIDICULOUS taking in consideration all of us were bartenders.
I proceeded to ordered a “dark & stormi” and got charged for it but got nothing but straight up Guinness.
Our visit to this place was beyond disappointing, I never tip 0 but tonight deserved it, BEWARE!!!

Awesome place for some drinks and food. We got drinks, started dancing and then after we played pool. At first there weren’t to many people. But after 9pm. It got full. The vibe was amazing.

My favorite bar in Hermosa Beach. Lots of TVs, pool and darts. The beer is cold, the food is good and the service is friendly. Takes a minute to find if you don’t know where it is, but worth the extra effort.
