We stopped in here on a Saturday evening, place was very busy but was able to get a table without trouble. Ordered cocktails, 6 different sliders and two sides. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend the portobello mushroom slider – it was so baked in flavor and texture. We also really enjoyed the California and mushroom swiss sliders. We got two chicken sliders – one ceasar and the fried, both were fantastic! We’d definitely stop in here again while in town.

They were super busy and totally not prepared. Staff needs to be better trained. We were at the table for at least 30 minutes before having to go get someone to even take our order. 3 other tables walked out and a table sat 2 after us were waited on before us. The food and drinks were great. The host had the most he was the only one I would give 5 stars to.

If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with great food and drinks, Sidecar Slider Bar is one of my absolute favorites. The staff always goes out of their way to make you feel genuinely welcome, and the atmosphere is relaxed and easygoing.
It’s especially perfect during lunchtime — not too loud, just the right vibe to enjoy a meal and conversation. The location couldn’t be better, either. It’s close to the Michigan State Capitol and directly across the street from Jackson Field, home of the Lansing Lugnuts.
Whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch or grabbing drinks before a game, it’s a fantastic spot every time.

Located across from Jackson Field this restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere and the specialty sliders were excellent. I really enjoyed the Perch Slider and the Bacon cheese tater tots. Nice wine selection as well as cocktails.

The food was good, but it took a long time to be prepared. We were sharing 3 sliders. They were brought out on an aluminum tray, but we weren’t given our own plates or any extra napkins. It was hard to get out servers’ attention throughout our meal. This was especially frustrating when we were eating our very messy sliders without plates to lean over and only 1 fabric napkin for our laps. The space looks nice but is not really warm or welcoming. Most of the tables were arranged in the middle of the space, and there were only a couple of booths. They do have a patio outside, but it was full, so we didn’t experience it.

The ahi tuna slider and the waffle fries is where it’s at. I got that mango lime or habanero, forgot what sauce, but it’s mango something, it was really good! I definitely will be back and I’ll try all of the seafood sliders. Wish the slider was bigger, but it’s a nice price for what you get. I only paid about $15 not including the tip. They have a lot of options! I’m going to try all of the sliders in one sitting next time. They have this almost $20 salad that I want to get one of these days and it better be worth it!

So why a three? Well, we got seated on. Sunday afternoon and it was a busy place but understaffed. Our sweet potato fry appetizer was great but took a long long time to come out. While we looked at the menu we noticed someone’s fake lashes were stuck on the menu. Though dark, please wash or clean your menus from time to time please, yuck. We ordered 1 slider and some wings too. The food was good tasting but a bit pricey for how much you get. Also staff seemed very blah. I’m not sure if it was the understaffing or something else but more personality is needed. If I eat here again, I will prepare ahead for slow service. Had the food tasted worse I would’ve rated it lower.

Not sure why as I’m leaving this review, this place only has 4.2 stars and was DEAD on the afternoon leading up to the MSU/U of M game. Great service! Lovely happy hour and great bites! More people need to make the trek because it’s so so worth!
