Ordered to go food Super Bowl Sunday; I had never eaten here and I highly recommend. Taco salad was delicious and the ground beef had so much flavor (most places taste kind of bland). However; my boyfriend who has been there before said there margaritas were not great; so we will stick to take out! Super Yummy!

My boyfriend and I have tried so. many. street tacos, and this one is the finale winner. The Overall Pick. The carnitas tacos coming outta this place are the perfect texture and the taste is 5 stars. I crave the fish tacos. Cheese dip and verde sauce and the CHIPS? Good lord. The margs? Goodness. Please dear god, don’t change nothin.

My husband and I visited this restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing and not to mention the customer service is second to none. We had the street tacos and they were the best we’ve ever had. The Margaritas are amazing and is not made with cheap liquor. We started with two tacos each and we immediately had to order 2 more. We live in Madison, however the drive was so worth it. I’ll definitely be visiting again soon.

Update. The food quaily has significantly increased. The fajitas, Chimicanga and tacos are great. The chili relleno is average. One plate fed two of us. Service needs a bit more work. 10/19/24 Service still needs work. Borderline terrible.
Original post: So-so experience. Better than average for Mexican in Northern Alabama. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Agree with the other posts here, the service was marginal. The Beef Chunks Chimicanga was decent the meat was tender but could use more seasoning/flavor. The chips were over cooked however, the salsa was great.

Coming from someone who grew up living in a Hispanic household and knowing what real mexican dishes taste like, I can tell you right now that this place IS the place to go for some real authentic mexican food. I have visited on now 2 separate occasions and the first time I did take out for a Carne Asada Torta and my god was it hitting. Second time I went I brought my significant other, we sat inside and ordered dinner. Mojarra was the dish of my choice, out of many other locations I have visited within Huntsville itself to enjoy some mexican food I have to say that this is the place to go. I’ve been told about this location by many co workers and decided to give it a shot, I was not let down in the slighted. We enjoyed everything we had there and I will for sure be going back more often! Cleaned my plate to its fullest lol

Fresh guacamole, medium zesty salsa, smooth and creamy refried beans, and ample seasoning all make the plates at Los Compadres quite tasty. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is brightly decorated and very clean. There’s even a small bar area done in wood and tile. We beat the dinner crowd by getting there around 4:45p. I definitely recommend you try this place for yourself.
