We live locally in Bellingham, but a lot of people who come here are staying at the hotel. There’s quite a few options for a good food in Bellingham, but we wanted to dress up a bit so we decided to go to the Bellweather. We’ve been here several times and always had a good time, about half the time we go to the bar side, but it was a bit busy tonight. We were greeted at the front by Erick who we hadn’t met before. My wife and I are pretty social so we do enjoy having a host at a restaurant, this is something we were used to before we moved. Erick and our server Maureen were super cool, just the right amount of friendly, and just the right amount of letting us chill. We do like the vibe at Bellweather, it’s a place where you can get dressed up a little bit but then completely chill. They had a great classical guitarist who was providing some super mellow tunes, perfect volume. Lighting was great, great mise en scène. We started with the crab cakes, then had them bring out a Caesar salad, then the scallop potatoes which are cut up, razor, thin. I thought the star was the potatoes and the very interesting sauce. Cap off with Pellegrino and mocktail since we don’t drink, super mellow and enjoyable evening. We spent quite a bit of time there and it just slipped by pretty quickly. I don’t understand the other reviews about the service, the service we got was prompt in excellent. Thanks to Erick and Maureen for helping us feel at home and I hope we’ll be back soon!

We dined here for dinner tonight. It’s a beautiful location and they take reservations. Our food was great but our food took forever, where I felt maybe it sat for a bit making it warm hot but not hot hot. I’m not sure what really happened. There was only us, a table of 5 and another table of 2 seated. The flavors of our food was good but overall I didn’t feel full after my meal where I feel like the portions were a little bit on the smaller side. We even got two appetizers. Maybe we could have been starving from the moment we were seated till our meals came which was over an hour. I also felt that the prices were a bit on the expensive side. I would say this is a place to try for something new.

We spent two lovely happy hour afternoons on the patio here during our stay at the Bellwether, and both were exceptional.
Our cocktails were delicious, the food was great, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend the fried mushrooms, meat & cheese plate, and fish & chips.
Our server, Carolyn, was especially fantastic. There was large business party on half the patio that kept the staff super busy the second day we were there, but Carolyn made sure to check on us frequently and maintained her professional, courteous demeanor.
We will be back next time we’re in Bellingham!

We visited Lighthouse Bar & Grill during their transition from brunch to dinner, so they had a light menu available—which was exactly what we were looking for. We ordered the pork belly Caesar salad and the crabcakes, which were perfect for the two of us. The full-size Caesar salad was only a dollar more at that time and was a huge portion. The pork belly was delicious, and the crabcakes were absolutely divine.
Since we arrived during the changeover, we were seated right away. The service was excellent, and the bartender was very accommodating, even swapping out one of the alcohols in a drink for us. I tried the Gunpowder cocktail, which was unique and interesting. Our food came out quickly, and everything was fresh and well-prepared.
The setting was another highlight—stunning views, beautiful weather, and a well-kept, clean hotel attached to the restaurant. Parking was conveniently located downstairs for both the restaurant and hotel.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Great food, wonderful service, and a gorgeous atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back!

The best of the Northwest! Food was beautiful and tasty. Service was knowledgeable, accommodating, and above par! Adam was our server, and though we had among us a gent with some food allergies, he assisted in careful selections. And the VIEW!!!! OMG THE VIEW!!!

The restaurant is part of the hotel and is on beautiful grounds. We came with our family including a small baby. We ordered about half the menu and overall we all had a lovely time.
The clam chowder was nice as were the oysters, the greens salad, and the crab cakes. We found the smoked fish starter to be too salty for our taste. I liked all the berries in the fruit cup for the baby.
The mains were all excellent, especially the vegetarian option which is all too often an afterthought. I also especially enjoyed the lamb main.
The staff were, in my opinion, the true standout of this establishment. They were incredibly professional, friendly and helpful without being overbearing, and skillful. It was like watching a well oiled and practiced orchestra!
I recommend this place and I certainly wouldn’t mind returning!

Beautiful view of the harbor. Our waiter was, as my wife put it, “above average “, pleasant, attentive, responsive. Made for a wonderful experience. Food was hot and more than ample. The calamari was perfectly done and the aoli sauce the best we have had. The clam chowder was loaded with clams and diced potatoes. The chowder liquid was perfect consistency but taste needed something, not sure what. Some pepper and sakt? Still a solid choice. The prime rib French dip sandwich was loaded with tender meat, onions, and cheese sauce? Nix the onions and sauce. The dip was bland. The fries were outstanding, crisp with a tinge of salt crystals. The close out service by our waiter was quick and cordial. Nice to be invited back.

Our server, Connor, was pleasant & interactive; clearly seasoned as a server. He made a delightful hot buttered rum and was always available, but never intrusive.
Brie plate was delightful. Prime rib dip & pork belly plate were both delicious. Fries were perfect.
Views of the bay were fantastic. Tea light at the table was a nice touch.
