I have been to Ermirio’s for both a large party and a small date night and both experiences were excellent! The date night was amazing, the ambiance was exactly what we wanted, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable! The large dinner party went off without a hitch. The experience was so seamless and the food so delicious, that the birthday girl left feeling like a member of the Ermirio’s family so to speak. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. Must try when in Highland Falls.

P.S. after seeing some of the other reviews as well as being a local, I happen to know it is hard to get decent workers in this town. Some people don’t have what it takes to be good in the food business, and as someone who myself have more than 20 years in the food business. You take a chance in giving inexperienced people work……. The staff at my party was AWESOME & I think the staff issue has been since resolved! Many years to this place as I happen to love it! But don’t take my word, try it and let the owner know. He is really a nice guy and always there.

Most delicious birthday dinner ever!! The staff was very welcoming and attentive to our rather rambunctious party. They made all the right recommendations and left us wanting more with each coming course. Individual plates became family style platters since each person wanted a taste of everything. The pastas, the chicken parms, the wine…all perfect! Thank you so much for all the love and expertise you put into each serving of deliciousness! We truly felt like Ermirio’s family.

Last night was my first time there and I loved it! Our waiter John was very friendly and helpful and the owner came by to check on us a few times as well. I got the penne ala vodka and my boyfriend got the cheese tortellini and both were delicious! We will definitely be back and spreading the word about Ermirio’s 🙂

I work in the highland falls area and decided to give Emirio’s a try. I got take out and the food was ok nothing to scream about., the portion size is great but the service really lacked. I waited quite some time when I got there to be acknowledged and then waited longer to get my food. The food, to me, could be considered the best of the worst restaurants in Highland Falls as the town caters to tourists more so than regular business. It’s good for a one time deal but not much in the way of repeat business.

Our experience doesn’t even deserve 1 star. After waiting quite a while we hear things dropping and yelling from the kitchen(we were the only ones in the restaurant). My dish arrives and has a unappetizing gel on it. I go to taste it and the pasta is cold. I don’t mean not hot, I mean fresh from the fridge cold. I cold not figure out the gel but the flavor was so offensive I could not eat it. I returned it to the kitchen to then hear more yelling and swearing from the kitchen. I do not recommend!

You get what you pay for. I have eaten at Ermirio’s 3 times in the last month and have enjoyed every bite. Myself having over 20 years experience in food service has taught me that the care and quality that costs a little more is revealed in the taste. I rarely have someone else cook my dinner, but when I do, it’s often Ermirio’s. Highland Falls needed a restaurant residents could go on a romantic date to if they so decided. The ambiance here is fit for any dinner event whether a private party , a first date, or even take-out. Check it out. The “Drunken Chicken” is intoxicatingly delicious.

We stopped in late at night on a Saturday and were blown away by the quality of food and service. Buy a piece of pizza get a free beer promo? You bet! We got mozzarella sticks and chicken parmesan instead. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend going here for a good local meal. I’ll be back.

This is the best Italian restaurant I ever gone to. The food is delicious and filling, the prices are competitive for the area, especially the lunch special, and many of the dishes are unique. All the food tastes like it is homemade. A winning place to go if you want excellent, local Italian food.
