Winnie & Ethel’s Downtown Diner reimagines the classic American diner for modern Las Vegas. Modeled after the iconic round-the-clock eateries of the 1940s, it draws inspiration from the history and legacy of the Huntridge Theater and its surrounding neighborhood. Located in the historic Huntridge Center, the diner serves scratch-made comfort food, all-day breakfast, weekend brunch, dinner favorites, and craft cocktails in a bright, retro-inspired space that feels both nostalgic and new.

I had a really solid experience at Winnie & Ethel’s Downtown Diner. We had made reservations and I adjusted them last minute, but still ended up arriving late. Even with that, the hostess was friendly and accommodating and had us seated within about two minutes. First impression: everything on the menu looked good, which is always a dangerous sign in the best way.

I ordered the Southern breakfast along with a cinnamon roll, pork belly Benedict, and blueberry pancakes. Overall, the food was amazing—especially if you’re into hearty Southern-style breakfasts. The pork belly Benedict was rich and satisfying, and the grits were surprisingly good… honestly better than what the U.S. Army fed me back in the day.

The waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us regularly without hovering, which I really appreciated.

I do want to be honest about one thing: I wasn’t a fan of the cinnamon roll. It tasted and looked like a packaged honey bun that had been warmed up, which was a letdown compared to everything else we tried. That said, everything else absolutely delivered.

The blueberry pancakes deserve their own shoutout. Blueberries baked into the pancakes, fresh blueberries on top, and blueberry sauce on the side—full-on blueberry explosion. Those alone are worth coming back for.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend Winnie & Ethel’s and would gladly return, especially for the pancakes and the Southern breakfast plates. Solid food, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe.

OMG! Winnie & Ethel’s was the perfect breakfast spot! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. From the waffle to the savory breakfast “gravy” everything was seasoned just right and served hot. You can truly taste the quality and care in every bite.

What made the morning even more special was Berto. He took amazing care of us from start to finish—attentive, kind, and full of great energy. And when he serenaded us? That was the cherry on top! His voice and personal touch created such a warm and joyful atmosphere that turned a simple breakfast into a memorable experience.

Between the incredible breakfast and Berto’s outstanding hospitality and entertainment, Winnie & Ethel’s gave us more than a meal—it gave us a moment. We’ll definitely be back!

Delicious food and friendly service. Large portions. We ordered country fried steak, French Toast w candied pecans and fried chicken sandwich. Biscuit was a bit doughy and claggy. Cornflakes were a nice touch to the French toast. I ordered the season drink of apple horchata coffee. It was not a good flavor profile. I do not recommend that drink. Plenty of parking, but currently hard to get to with the amount of construction going on in the area. Kinda pricey. $100 for 3 including tip. Definitely a great stop during our brief visit to Vegas.

First time at this place, it’s a very cool diner type in a pretty busy strip mall, there’s a capriotti’s, roberto’s, and a wing place. The parking lot is pretty busy but I was able to find parking at 10:30 in the morning on a Tuesday. The food was delicious particularly the pancakes with their homemade syrup. The country fried steak with pork meat was also very tasty. They were very busy, so I had to wait a bit for my coffee refill. The coffee was worth the wait, one of the best at a diner I’ve ever had. I would come back here anytime.

Literally probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Visiting for for hubby’s bday and our 10 year anniversary. The service was phenomenal and the food was even better. Chorizo gravy?? Are u kidding me? Probably the best crispy potatoes I’ve ever had. And the French toast with this specialty syrup and the candied pecans plus, These 2 employees made our whole experience that much better at this restaurant and we’re a highlight of our day.

Not to mention the bloody Mary was SO GOOD and I’m a bloody Mary connoisseur.

Winnie & Ethel’s proved to be an excellent place to meet up for brunch with wonderful foodie friends, which makes Winnie & Ethel’s even more iconic

One of their best features is their venue. Feeling like an expanded living and dining area in someone’s home, we were seated at a good-sized long table with enough elbow room, and table space for all our plates.

Check out their drink specialties! Their drink and food menus are ones to really browse through and make calculated decisions, because their selections are all appetizing

Service with a smile and attentiveness from Katherine (I believe) was what any customer would love. Many thanks for making our ordering and dining experience easy. We know how stressful large groups and extremely busy weekends can be.

If you haven’t eaten at Winnie & Ethel’s yet, make your reservation in advance. They book up for a reason. Come enjoy and experience it for yourself, and learn about its special history.

Such a cute mom and pop spot.

Got the cold brew it was good. But asked for flavor and basically had to make my own coffee. They even brought out the milk for me.

Got the club sandwich and man that was huge! But good. The sausage in the biscuits and gravy were not that great.

This was a great spot for a pre-wedding breakfast. Our server was fun and attentive. She even brought us mimosas to celebrate! The plates were plentiful and tasty. My onion bacon and mushroom omelet really hit the spot and I was fueled for the the big day being a brides maid. It was a cute place with an old school style inside. If we are in the area we would come back.

This hidden gem was highly recommended by a local. Portions are plentiful and delicious. Prices are decent and that weekend cinnamon roll was very delicious. Went back for a second try and was not disappointed (both times for breakfast) if you in the Vegas area this is a must…

This place rocks. It’s worth the drive out from the Strip if you’re visiting the city.
The portions were massive, the price is right on for a great breakfast spot. I highly recommend the Biscuits and Gravy – the chorizo version is to die for
