Winnie & Ethel’s Downtown Diner reimagines the classic American diner for modern Las Vegas. Modeled after the iconic round-the-clock eateries of the 1940s, it draws inspiration from the history and legacy of the Huntridge Theater and its surrounding neighborhood. Located in the historic Huntridge Center, the diner serves scratch-made comfort food, all-day breakfast, weekend brunch, dinner favorites, and craft cocktails in a bright, retro-inspired space that feels both nostalgic and new.

I ordered the Southern breakfast along with a cinnamon roll, pork belly Benedict, and blueberry pancakes. Overall, the food was amazing—especially if you’re into hearty Southern-style breakfasts. The pork belly Benedict was rich and satisfying, and the grits were surprisingly good… honestly better than what the U.S. Army fed me back in the day.
The waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us regularly without hovering, which I really appreciated.
I do want to be honest about one thing: I wasn’t a fan of the cinnamon roll. It tasted and looked like a packaged honey bun that had been warmed up, which was a letdown compared to everything else we tried. That said, everything else absolutely delivered.
The blueberry pancakes deserve their own shoutout. Blueberries baked into the pancakes, fresh blueberries on top, and blueberry sauce on the side—full-on blueberry explosion. Those alone are worth coming back for.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Winnie & Ethel’s and would gladly return, especially for the pancakes and the Southern breakfast plates. Solid food, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe.
What made the morning even more special was Berto. He took amazing care of us from start to finish—attentive, kind, and full of great energy. And when he serenaded us? That was the cherry on top! His voice and personal touch created such a warm and joyful atmosphere that turned a simple breakfast into a memorable experience.
Between the incredible breakfast and Berto’s outstanding hospitality and entertainment, Winnie & Ethel’s gave us more than a meal—it gave us a moment. We’ll definitely be back!
Not to mention the bloody Mary was SO GOOD and I’m a bloody Mary connoisseur.

One of their best features is their venue. Feeling like an expanded living and dining area in someone’s home, we were seated at a good-sized long table with enough elbow room, and table space for all our plates.
Check out their drink specialties! Their drink and food menus are ones to really browse through and make calculated decisions, because their selections are all appetizing
Service with a smile and attentiveness from Katherine (I believe) was what any customer would love. Many thanks for making our ordering and dining experience easy. We know how stressful large groups and extremely busy weekends can be.
If you haven’t eaten at Winnie & Ethel’s yet, make your reservation in advance. They book up for a reason. Come enjoy and experience it for yourself, and learn about its special history.
Got the cold brew it was good. But asked for flavor and basically had to make my own coffee. They even brought out the milk for me.
Got the club sandwich and man that was huge! But good. The sausage in the biscuits and gravy were not that great.
The portions were massive, the price is right on for a great breakfast spot. I highly recommend the Biscuits and Gravy – the chorizo version is to die for
