One of Columbus County’s favorite restaurants voted by the citizens the last 2 years! Its never overly crowded, it does keep steady business, if you have to wait a few mins, it’s always worth it. The staff is always friendly, quick to take your order or get you a refill. its always clean, they have a variety of items on the menu, they have a few different options dessert wise. If you’re not from around here make sure to definitely stop by for the fried chicken I promise you won’t be disappointed. It really is a hometown favorite

Absolute best chicken place in Columbus County… Probably North Carolina… I have literally been eating pigfords since I was a child I can remember being taken there by one of the greatest men in my life Mr.Edgar Pearl Buffkin! ! when I was four or five years old and they’re still going to this day (and that’s 33 years!!* *)and if you want something amazing go in there and get you a crispy gizzard snack with fried okra perfection in food!!!!! And the sweet tea oh good Lord the sweet tea is fantastic!!! And the people the people are always willing to go out of their way to make sure your order is exactly the way that you wanted it they are a great group of individuals this place has a special spot in my heart and I will always continue to eat at pigford’s!!! And make sure if you were real G you get the gizzard snack fried crispy with fried okra and a sweet tea!!! The Jason specialty***

A variety of foods from bbq, fried chicken, livers, and is season spot fish. I find the food delicious and visit frequently. Don’t let the exterior of the building fool you as it is excellent service and food quality inside. The prices are reasonable however, like some places, there is an up-charge for credit card use. I would recommend going inside to get your food as the drive thru seems slower.

One star given because I realize sometimes you can have an off night. This place has really gone down. The Pigfords I remember was good. Got chicken and it was tasteless and seemed like grease was to old. Also got chicken livers and the crumbs we got were cooked almost burnt.

We spent over $60. We bought a 20 piece chicken pack that included rolls and 5 sides. And a pint of Barbeque. When looking through the bag I discovered that one side was missing. I went back and they gave me the side but put five containers in one bag busting the lid of the greens and some leaked out. We were in a hurry because we were leaving to go home to FL and didn’t discover that they didn’t give us the rolls until we went to eat. We didn’t have time to go back. Also the chicken was small and dry. It didn’t taste fresh in the opinion of me and others who ate it. We had to wait a long time too. They staff was nice though. I feel that we didn’t get what we paid for. We don’t live there but have family that does and go there a lot. I’m not sure we want to go back. I would rather pay more for my order to be correct and fresh tasting chicken. The Barbeque was good. And all but one side was good. The fries were cold and no salt.
