I have driven past The lucky Dill so many times but never stopped until yesterday. Now I know what I was missing. The food was so good and Jen, our server, made the whole experience wonderful .
Next time I’ll definitely stop here instead of just driving by.
The bakery looked so good. I wanted to buy a cookie but the two ladies behind the counter never even acknowledged me but that won’t keep me from coming back.

This is such a cute restaurant. It’s decorated with New York decor. The menu has a good selection, they have some authentic New York dishes. I got half a sandwich with a salad. The portion was much bigger than I thought it would be. The food was very good. They have a counter where you can purchase as much bakery as you would like. The staff was very nice and helpful. It’s a very nice place.

This is a “go to” place if you are hungry for a sandwich and don’t want to experiment with a new place. The Lucky Dill is a wonderful restaurant, well established and has great servers. Plenty of seating inside and around the bar area. The sandwiches are huge! Plenty for the heartiest eaters. Wait staff are experienced and do everything they can to make a good dining experience. Located on Hwy19 it can be hectic at times to get to, but once you are there you will feel at easy as you devour the best sandwiches around. Happy eating!

This place has really gone downhill over the years. The place was very empty for a Saturday night and it felt very surreal coming in here. Most of the decor is just mashed together with some having no correlation at all. However, the service was decent and our food came through quick.

The food however is not good. The shrimp I had was fine, but the fries were overly salty and difficult to enjoy. A few other things were actually decent, but I was disappointed with everything else. Overall, I don’t recommend.

Disappointed and disgusted. Look at mozzarella stick color. That means the fry oil has not been changed in a while. The cheese inside was like paste. They have a photo of KATZ deli from NYC inside. The sliced and warmed up deli meat is nowhere even close to a Katz sandwich. The stuff they served was chewy and had the consistency of rubber. Compare the photos. Entire family spent the afternoon in the bathroom
with the exception of the one person who had a salad.

I rarely leave one-star reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.

I arrived around 7:00 PM and waited at the host desk for nearly ten minutes to be seated, even though the restaurant was not busy.

I ordered a bowl of matzo ball soup but was served a cup. When I pointed this out, the waitress apologized and took it back, only to return a few minutes later with the same cup. When I explained again that I had ordered a bowl, she told me the only difference was they added half a matzo ball as one and a half matzo balls instead of one is their difference between cup and bowl. That is misleading and makes the advertised option of a “bowl” feel pointless.

I then received my egg salad sandwich, which I ordered with onions and No tomatoes. It arrived with tomatoes and no onions. Instead of remaking it, I was offered onions on the side and left to fix it myself. For a $20 sandwich, that is unacceptable. The sandwich was bland and not prepared as ordered.

By the time I requested my check, service had slowed even further. I waited 15 minutes for the bill, despite the restaurant being nearly empty, only three tables were occupied at that point. I was honestly too tired to argue that the mistake with the tomatoes was never removed from the bill.

I spent $32 for a meal and service that fell far below expectations. There are plenty of other places where you can eat better for that price and get better service. Do better!I rarely leave one-star reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.

I ordered the Reuben sandwich and the preparation was disappointing. A classic Reuben is made by buttering the rye bread before grilling, which gives it an even, golden crust and prevents burning. My sandwich came out heavily toasted instead, with burnt edges and a dry, over‑crisp texture that didn’t match how a Reuben should be prepared. The corned beef was also slightly tougher than expected. The server did bring me an extra slice of bread to replace the burnt one, which I appreciated, but the overall execution still fell short. With proper buttered grilling and more tender meat, this could be a much better sandwich.

The food here is amazing! If you’re a fan of New York deli sandwiches, this place is a must-try. I’m surprised by the low rating—it’s definitely underrated. We ordered the NY Skyhigh Sandwich and the Brisket Dinner, and both were excellent. The dessert was also delicious. Highly recommend, you’ll love it

I really wanted to love this place but truthfully I was very disappointed. A corned beef sandwich was $21.00. The corned beef was very fatty and had little flavor. The bread was stale and the cheese was almost non existent. We had a “bowl” of tomato soup that was bitter and tasted burnt = $10.00. The only reason I gave 2 stars was for the Almond Joy cake which I’ve pictured below. The cake was moist and chocolaty and the frosting wasn’t overly sweet. The slice of cake was $13.00. I don’t mind paying top dollar, but the quality of the items don’t match the pricing.

I ordered the Skyscraper Beefeater and it was excellent. It came on a brioche bun and was stacked high. The fries were crispy and still hot.

I did have to wait a while for my takeout but it was definitely made fresh so I don’t mind to wait.

I also tried the chocolate cake, strawberry cake and carrot cake, all phenomenal!

I previously got the pastrami and It was not the best pastrami I ever had so it must have been an off day. Looking forward to going back again soon to try it sit down.

If the price point was $4 lower I would definitely visit more often!
