It was our second visit back to Nassau. This trip we came by cruise. We took a taxi to Curly’s for the whole snapper and seafood platter. The nassau grouper is enough for me to return yearly. Then we walked down to the beach. We were given free chairs to sit in with a purchase of a drink. O’neill with a taxi service was dropping people off and offered us a ride back. His van had air and he was alot friendlier than the first driver. The first driver didn’t talk and charged more. $28 there $20 back. Walking would have been good if we didn’t have children. I definitely would recommend a trip to the fish fry. You can even rent jet skis and go on banana boat rides here.

We always enjoy going to a local place. This was a place we found 7 years ago on our honeymoon. When we recently took a cruise and had a port at Nassau, we knew we had to go find it again and remanence. The place has had a face lift and some remodeling done. The owner even went out of his way to get us some Guava Duff, a must try with in Nassau. We also enjoyed the couch salad, very spicy, asked for the spice on the side. Do miss this friendly and welcoming place with excellent food. We will see you again hopefully soon.

Food was okay. But the fish was filled with bones – making it hard to eat or enjoy. Flavour was great tho! Service was good too – but waited 45 min for our food. So don’t go hungry! We did get to see some turkeys and manatee! That made it an experience!

My family ate here back in March when we were on a stop from a cruise ship. We walked from the port to this restaurant and while it was long, it was very worth it – to eat here and see some sights along the way! We ate conch fritters and local fish. Nice staff and chill atmosphere!

Big Yard is a nice restaurant in the Fish Fry (Arawak Cay). The team at the restaurant are nice. I wanted to try Conch fritters but the girl taking our order informed us that Conch fritters are not available for the whole order but she can manage to get me a sample to try. And later she surprised us by bringing the whole order to please us. My husband ordered a chicken dish and it was also good. The drinks we ordered were good too. I ordered Shirley Temple a non-alcoholic drink and my husband ordered the local beer called Kalik. Which was mild in taste. The restaurant was an open air space and is good for family and small groups depending on its busy hours. Since the restaurant is I. Arawak Cay you will get a proper parking space. The restaurant is moderately priced. But if you will order combos or big meals then it may get a bit expensive.

Our experience in Nassau was a good one. The food here was very fresh. We were really really hungry so the only food pic I took was of the conch fritters. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Tasted like a calamari hush puppy. Everything we ordered took a while to come out which was understandable considering I was with my entire family. The one and only issue I had was trying to pay them. We waited over 20 mins for someone to come and take the money. It was like they didn’t want us to pay. The restaurant was slow so there was no excuse for this. Other than that we had a great meal and I would recommend them. I also recommend ordering the shrimp. They were the best I’ve ever had. We will be back soon. ❤️

The food was amazing and the service was great. The location however, isn’t the best. We sat outside and there were a ton of trucks hauling stuff that drove by the entire time we were there. It was so loud it was hard to enjoy. We ate there during the day on a Thursday. I do wonder if maybe you ate there on a weekend or outside trucking business hours if it would be more enjoyable.

They had nice crisp air inside. The food was mid though. I got a fried lobster tail. The perk wings were not “pan chicken” it was cooked in the kitchen and just sauced. No smoked flavor.

The food was not good at all. Our waiter did not understand the assignment and bought us three different meals. Charged me $2 for a water I never received. Charged us for an extra $18 dinner that was not was ordered. The conch fritters were not good. The Cole slaw and brown rice with red beans in it was good.
