Sorry, Dixon, I didn’t believe you all. Pedro’s Cocina is actually great eats. The salsa was spicy and flavorful. The Caldo de Res was yummy and full vegetables, though the meat could’ve been a bit more tender. The chicken tamale was delicious and the green salsa was just my type. The cheese inside was a little too cooked though. Best part, hand made tortillas DURING the week.

This was our family’s first time here and have to say it was very enjoyable. Food was delicious, warm, spicy and filling. Portions were nice sized. Husband and I had the carne asada tacos while our girls had the carne asada burrito and they were big! Youngest wasn’t able to finish but she has had the rest for dinner so got 2 meals out of it for her would highly recommend

Authentic Mexican food! Such good food and even better prices. I love all the enchiladas and beans and also the tacos were very good. Such a great place for lunch or dinner and the service was friendly and quick. Not to mention ton you get some chips and salsa while you wait. Can’t wait to go back again!

Highly recommend this Mexican restaurant. Eating here makes me feel like I’m back at home eating my mother’s home-cooked meals!! You won’t go wrong ordering anything off the menu. The staff was so kind. Will definitely come back again.

Complimentary chips and salsa were very good. I had the Biria plate. Tortillas were made in house which was wonderful! Rice and beans were good. I would have liked the consume to have a bit more flavor, but overall, the meal was very good.

I was part of an organization that used his private space in the bar area for a Christmas party. Pedro let us set up. He and his staff were kindly and helpful.
My wife and ate lunch. We got their specials of the day, pork tamales and chicken taco rolls (taquitos). They were wonderful. The green sauce was very good.
For dinner, we had chicken, pork, and beef with tortillas, rice, and beans. The meat was delicious and the portions were generous. He made a salad with apples and avacado. I could have had that for dinner and been happy.
I tried three of his salsas. One was orange and I would guess habanero. Hot but tasty with a little sweetness… Mango? Another was chunky with onion, less heat and very tasty. Again, the green sauce was wonderful.
I highly recommend this place for food and for parties. You won’t find a better option.

Nothing special here. Expensive, no English menu. Order at a counter and they bring it to your table so zero service after you get your food. Stale tortilla chips with decent sauce.
Always wanted to try it but won’t be back. Alot if other places in Dixon that are alot better fir Mexican food.

First timer, they have been open 3 weeks in new location. We went to the original location first. No sign saying they moved. A boy on a scooter let me know they moved and where. Thanks kid.
I am sure they are working the kinks out. You can sit and have your order taken or you can order at the register. If you sit and order there were no menus. There was lots of people. It took 40 mins to get our food.
Posole was good, meat was tender. Comes with lettuce, chiles and onion on the side. I got a 3 tacos plate, carnitas, carne asada, and adobada. Carne asada was the one I enjoyed more. Also ordered a gordita, it has beans and meat. I ordered one with cheese & chicken. Food could have been a bit warmer. The 2 waitresses were attentive for having a full house. I will definitely wait a while before I go back and try again.

I used to go to Pedro‘s a lot, but after the awful experience that I had in 2023. I got married and he did not provide the food that I needed. He and I agreed that he was gonna served different foods and he did not serve one of them and he wasn’t able to recognize his mistake after showing him the receive of the contract that we had made together. The side that he forgot was birria and I really wanted that one also we had agreed to have a buffet theme and he made my guest feel so uncomfortable. He only gave them a choice of two items instead of having unlimited. Please save your money and do not hire him for catering. He ruined my wedding. What makes me more upset is that he did not recognize he forgot to put birria after sending him the receipt of the items. He stoped answering my calls and texts.

Went in ordered but the lady at the front seemed preoccupied more with what was going on in the back of the kitchen than to her customers. Ordered the Chicken Enchiladas Verdes, my daughter got the Carne Asada Tacos, and the Ex wife got the Chicken Quesadillas. The food was amazing and delicious, but have to say that inside the restaurant was like being in a furnace, it was hot, no fans or A/C, and the chips from the chips and salsas that they bring you were so stale, they tasted like they were old chips that were reheated, but the salsa was bomb. I would recommend but stay away from the chips.
