Went to Jolie last night and had a wonderful time! Colleen was our server and she was incredible. We ordered the mussel toast, tortellini appetizer special, and parsnip bisque to start and they were scrumptious!! The tortellini was probably my least favorite but still very flavorful. The mussel toast was out of this world. For our entrees we ordered the steak frites and salmon and absolutely loved it. We left stuffed and satisfied. We can definitely tell my they got a michelin recommendation for 2025. 10/10!

Jolie is such a charming spot with a cozy, candle-lit vibe that feels perfect for a date night or relaxed dinner.

We started with an escargot served in a light, flavorful broth, and the toasted bread on the side was perfect for soaking everything up. The salmon was beautifully cooked—crispy skin, tender inside—served over a creamy, comforting base that tied the dish together really well. The steak frites were rich and satisfying, with tender meat and well-seasoned fries.

Great execution, thoughtful plating, and a place I’d happily return to.

Love love love this place. Chef Summer, Amanda, and Elliot are amazing—every dish is absolutely delicious, carefully composed, and beautifully executed. Their teamwork is like watching a choreographed dance.

The hospitality here is bar none. Steve the bartender and Hostess Molly make you feel instantly welcomed. I am allergic to alcohol. Steve makes great mocktails and has a nice selection of different flavored sodas.

Jolie isn’t just dinner—it’s a reminder of how joyful dining can be when food, service, and atmosphere come together perfectly. And why I have a standing reservation every week! Thank you Jolie!

While everything I ordered was delicious (tartare and steak frites), the other dishes at the table were not as good—the salmon was overcooked, and the flavor of everything on the plate was bland. It desperately needed a hint of citrus or something to brighten it up. I do not recommend that dish. The duck was inconsistent. Some bites where the skin was crisp and the meat was tender were good, while other bites had rubbery skin and chewy duck.

Their beef dishes are clearly the way to go. The fries were also delicious, though two pf us ordered the truffle fries with our steak and were given the herb fries instead. When we asked for the fries we ordered, they brought out only one serving of the truffle fries much later.

The service was very glitchy—we received another table’s starters initially, and that mixup seemed to continue throughout the night. They forgot our drinks until we reminded them, and we had to reorder all drinks after our starters had been served. They gave me someone else’s wine. The liquor wasn’t brought out with our dessert. We watched all of the mishaps going on between tables, and ended up with other people’s charges on our bill that we had to correct. Every course had wrong or missing items from drinks to check, and we had to sort it all out ourselves. Maybe it was just an off night, but we were the first seating at 5, and it is a tiny restaurant.

“B” took great care of us on our first visit. We had a wonderful time and a big part of that was her attentive service. Thank you for making my birthday an evening to remember. The French onion soup was amazing and my wife’s gnocchi dish was fantastic. It’s a great place for a date night in an intimate environment. You may even end up having a fun conversation with the table next to you.

Who knew this restaurant was hiding on this tiny corner, and who knew they had a rooftop?? The food was delicious, especially the mussels in white wine sauce, and the rooftop atmosphere was pretty.
Our waitress was friendly and seemed genuinely excited about the food on the menu. This was a great way to spend our anniversary ❤️

Steven was by far the most attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming bartender I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. He recommended great seasonal specials on offer and expertly paired each course with a suitable drink to really bring out the flavours of each dish. I went with the escargot and a rabbit leg special. I highly recommend a bar seat to watch the kitchen staff whip up the menu and get inspired for what to order next! 10/10

Jolie is a great small French spot in downtown Raleigh. With only a few tables and bar seats, it feels intimate and personal. I sat at the bar, which is right next to the kitchen, and it was fun watching the team prepare the dishes.

The bartender was excellent, knowledgeable, welcoming, and helped me choose both my meal and wine pairings. I had the pounded NC bluefin tuna carpaccio, hanger steak with frites, and an orange and clove crème brûlée. Everything was absolutely delicious.

A wonderful experience overall, I’ll definitely be back soon.

We had such a wonderful dining experience here! Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavor.

The little gem salad was fresh and vibrant, with crunchy cucumbers, toasted hazelnuts, and creamy cheese. It was a perfect balance of textures and flavors. We got the foie gras that was on the specials. GO for this right now. There was a sweet jelly on top and the flavors went together so well.

The poulet au vinaigre was perfectly golden and juicy, served over rice and charred cabbage with just the right amount of sauce. Flavors were hearty, comforting, and elevated at the same time. The pan roasted halibut was our favorite, with a perfectly crisp skin and a creamy, herby/dill sauce that paired so well with the potatoes and greens.

On top of the delicious food, the ambiance was warm and vibey. Everything tasted thoughtfully prepared and balanced. Perfect date night spot!

I loved this place! I went here for my birthday dinner with my best friend and despite no reservation on a Saturday we actually managed to snag a table on the roof. It was a super windy night but everything was handled professionally, there are heaters and curtains. The stairway is beautifully decorated so of course we had to snap a pic. The food was incredible! Yummy bread and herb butter, great wine selection, and the special scallops I had were delicious. My friend is vegetarian and normally when there is only one option she isn’t too hyped but she was raving about the gnocchi. She said she wanted to eat it everyday. The desert was out of this world, decadent chocolate mousse that felt like just enough after all that rich food. Would love to visit again! I hope they can expand one day, they seem like they need more space!
