Social Profile:

Jeff became the owner of Belcross Bake Shoppe in May of 2022. In January of 2023 the name was officially changed to Belcross Biscuit Company. While still serving sweet treats such as cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins and cakes our main focus is on our biscuits. Inspired from the memories of his Grandmother, Jeff has been perfecting his buttermilk biscuit recipe for years. We have now expanded into lunch bringing you fan favorites like the Club Sandwich and some tasty newcomers like our Americano sandwich. We hope to see you very soon!

Went in for breakfast, and they were out of sausage gravy. Super disappointing. Ended up with BLT and breakfast biscuit was okay. Sweet roll had too much icing on it. We couldn’t finish it because it was too sweet. Cheese grits just had shredded cheese dumped on top. Wish it had been incorporated into the grits instead of just sitting on top.

*Edit* the owner has educated me on how to eat grits. Apparently, I don’t know how to stir. So I would respectfully recommend they change their menu to say the have grits and you can add cheese. They don’t have “cheese grits” as the menu suggests. Clearly the service attitude we experienced at the restaurant is management down so I’ll remove a star and vote with my dollars somewhere else.

Saturday morning, called to place order, requested crispy bacon as one of the sides. When I arrived, parking lot was full, found one spot close to the building,n walked inside and there was a long line waiting to place an order, some people waiting to be seated and all tables had people sitting down at the tables. Since we called to place order, I had to wait in line to pay for my order. I saw a sign that said, order online to skip the line. When I finally arrived to talk to the lady that accepted orders and payments, she was really nice. It took a minute for someone to find my order, someone brought a piece of paper to the cashier that had our order on it, the lady cashier entered my order into the payment device, she asked how many iced buns did we order, I said one, since my wife placed the order, paid via tap to pay (Google Pay). Had to wait again for a bit to get my food. When my food was ready, a young lady that heard the name on my order earlier, looked at me and quietly said my wife’s name and handed 2 bags to me. When I got back to my hotel, my wife realized that one of the bacon was NOT cooked and she wanted me to take a picture for a review. All of the food was good but we assumed that they were so/too busy to make sure all bacon was cooked crispy. Hope this review is helpful to some.

2 years prior, my initial review was:
Good food and really nice people. Lady at cash register says that they are under new management. Really nice to stop in for breakfast. Tables outside and more tables inside. Open kitchen, one side of kitchen has cash register and the other side is where you pickup your order or food. New owners are really nice and they walk the food to your table if you are dining in. Pancakes, eggs, French toast and sausage biscuit were all good.

We’ve driven by multiple times each week and never stopped in until today. What a pleasant cafe! They offer soup and sandwiches and desserts and more! The staff is friendly. The service is great. The food is excellent!!! We ordered the BLT and the Carolina Reuben and we were extremely pleased. Prices are very fair; one of the few places near the Outer Banks you can afford to eat at without breaking the bank! Highly recommend!

Stopped here on the way to Moyock.
Enjoyed a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, while daughter had a country ham, egg and cheese croissant. Both were delicious. The coffee was good too.
This little restaurant hit the spot!
We sat outside on the porch.

A great place to get a breakfast sandwich. A few favorites from the menu is the build your own sandwich on the sweet potato biscuit, hangover biscuit, and banging BLT.

Everything was great! Friendly, playful, enjoyable staff. The strawberry cake was delicious. They had a brownie cheesecake that I’ll have to go back for. The Club sandwich was packed with so much meat, it would have been 3 sandwiches at other places. I’m glad I finally tried this restaurant.
