I was very impressed with the elegant dinner at Hart Kitchen in Downtown Clarksburg.
I did not expect to find such a great restaurant walking distance to my apartment.
We started out with some special French Onion Deviled Eggs.
My partner ordered a delicious Prime Rib and I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger.
As we were finishing our wine, I decided to order Mary’s dessert special. It was brownie bites with chocolate syrup on top of ice cream.
We were so well taken care of.
One of the owners, Anne, checked up on us many times.
Thank you so much. We will be back.

No joke this is THE BEST restaurant in Clarksburg. I can’t describe how amazing the food and service was! The owner is a wonderful person and her food is just outta this place. The only thing that upset me is that I didn’t know this place existed until now!! 100% recommend for family dinners or dates. You can’t go wrong with any option

Great place in downtown Clarksburg. Food was full of flavor. Service was great. Place was nice and quiet. We spent $50 per person plus a 20% tip. This included wine, soup and dinner.

Salmon was perfectly cooked. They have a wonderful array of appetizers. Must try the deviled eggs, she changes them up frequently and they are always great.

I was truly impressed, I wasn’t expecting the food and service to be so spectacular! My 1st visit today , the place was unrecognizable, what they did with that place was astounding, they were so approachable and friendly , answering any questions about the menu and whatever else, great service and the seasoning on the food is mouth watering, not your everyday average taste on food, we had the burger and chicken tenders and they come with shoestring hand cut fries with everything in thier own creative seasoning, they could be a famous chain !MUST GIVE THIS A TRY !!

I’ve been living in WV for over a year for school… and I’ve had more than my fill of bar food or weak imitations of cultural cuisine. It seems to be the only thing that is done well or with any consistency in this state.
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much in the way of cuisine from Clarksburg either, a dying coal town nestled in the decaying buildings of better years long past, but the experience I had here was lovely. I can tell the owner/chef is trying to bring an experience of flavors and good food to this forgotten town, and she succeeds. We had the escargot (in WV?!) and it was very tasty. That, along with the crab pasta special and mushroom ravioli it was a treat to have some good food again.
I wish her success in the future. Change has to start somewhere, and from what I can tell the dining room at Hart’s kitchens is as worthy a spot as any for that to occur. Thanks!

Passing through town on a roadtrip, and decided to give this place a try. I placed a quick phone call to see if they had seating available for one, and I was told “Come on over, we’ll have a table ready for you when you arrive.” I had no idea what a treat I was in for. Hart Kitchen is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. Owner Ann Hart was so welcoming and visited my table to check-in and talk throughout my meal. Her son was a wonderful waiter as well, with lots of great insight and suggestions on the menu. The food is incredible, and you can see and feel the passion that the Hart family has for running a restaurant, selecting their menu and serving their guests. I would come back to Clarksburg just to eat at Hart Kitchen again — it was THAT amazing. The menu has so many great options that it’s hard to choose. The cocktail list is a mix of carefully selected American favorites, and the cocktails are phenomenal.

We attended a farm to table cooking class for children. My 8yo daughter loved learning about locally grown food and tasting the fresh produce cooked. Great folks!

If you’re looking for somewhere more upscale with high quality meals and specials made to perfection, look no further. I took my girlfriend for our anniversary for the first time and we had a wonderful experience. We were seated to our reservation immediately even though we were a little early. Our cocktails were delicious and we were surprised how good our appetizer of “skinny fries” were. We both ordered the plat du jour of roasted lamb leg. It was amazing, truly one of if not the best meals I’ve eaten in Clarksburg, WV and the world over. I didn’t think you could get food this good south of Morgantown. I cannot recommend this place enough.
